What's for Dinner ... Tuesday?

We've had quite a bit of rain here in Ohio the past couple of days. Right now I'm enjoying a lull before it starts in again later this evening.

My evening meal will be chicken noodles alfredo and a sweet potato.

I hope all is well with each of you. Please share what your meal was/will be.

Friend and I lunched at The Asian Rim for an outstanding lunch. Fantastic service as well.

I had their sweet and sour soup, which is the best I think I've ever had.

Then fried catfish strips, in peanut sauce with red and green pepper strips, lettuce, onions, and on the side sticky rice.

Absolutely delicious!

Raven: Your meal would suit me to a "T". frankginakay: I'm glad to hear you were able to get out today. I like my own food but I really like going out too. Stuffed patty pan squash is on the menu, as much as I hate to use the oven. The stuffing will consist of squash innards, jalapeno and chipotle peppers (small doses), corn, chopped tomato, quinoa, seasoned with a little cilantro, lime zest, and topped with queso fresco. It's gotta be good, right? A neighbor brought over a Sugar Baby watermelon which will be enjoyed later.

Leftovers here, too. I'm going to make chicken fajitas with the chicken from last night, plus grilled green, yellow sweet peppers, and onions, avocado, chopped lettuce and tomatoes and sour cream, all on a flour tortilla. I'll mix up a little fresh salsa, too, I guess. Raven, I hope that your power comes back on SOON!

I have definitely made and eaten my share of them during our years living in Oklahoma. When I made mine I would dice up some of the sweet onions and mix it in with my ball of meat so there's onions in the meat as well as the giant pile on the top of the meat. I hit it with a splash of Worcestershire sauce while cooking. Man I can just smell it!

Good evening. The expected week of rain started late this afternoon. We had stuffed shells and Italian bread.

Im not sure. I had a late lunch and Im munching on some Bugles. If I get hungry I'll probably just scramble a couple of eggs.

Scalloped potatoes/ham, English peas and a tossed salad, which we have just about every night. Dessert will be mini pineapple upsidedown cakes done in muffin tins. It is cold and rainy here on the prairie!

Sauerkraut with smoked turkey sausage. Put in on Brownberry's sandwich thins with dijon mustard. Had a side of corn and a plate of fresh radishes, cucumber, carrots and celery for crunch.

I made some meatballs and am simmering them in the sauce. Smells dee vine, lol. I'm going to try a gluten free pasta....just grocery store stuff, so we'll see.

We are having some tamales with chili and some of the wonderful heirloom tomatoes I got at the farm store. They are just amazingly delish! Sliced with a little salt and pepper that will do it!

Rhizo, hope you find the gluten free pasta to your liking. I've found it be be eh. Both my daughters (one is back home) go through different stages although both are still vegetarians. We've tried various gluten free products, and I actually like the Gluntino cookies and pretzels. But, I never did find a good pasta.

We had a nice lunch at a pizza place today, very good salad, spaghetti, pizza and the sweet bread sticks and a drink. We all really enjoyed it. Later we went to daughter Terri's and got some things from her to be rummage sale. Alyssa came home with me and just went home. It has been a full day. Went to the doctor's this forenoon too. So just had a bologna and some iced tea. Rain started here Sunday night. Rain yesterday and now expected for tonight.

We had BBQ Chicken, Mac & Cheese (blue box) & corn. The winds are picking up. probably gonna have another night like last night....oh fun

Glenda: All of that sounds like you describe...absolutely delicious

Ellendi: The first I heard of this meal was on I Love Lucy.

Pam: Don't know about you, but we don't need all this rain. Mmm, IItalian bread to go w/stuffed shells.

Satine: I love scrambled eggs. Sometimes I put a little ketchup on them.

Marigene: I wish I had your meal sitting in my refrigerator for tomorrow.

Gazania: I might end up using my Foodsaver to put some of these great meals in the freezer. All are sounding so good. My mouth is watering reading yours.

Rhizo: I think I smell your simmering sauce here too.

Raven: Gosh, I'd love your meal, especially the fresh tomatoes.

Sue: After that big lunch, bologna sounds just right for supper. Was the lunch a buffet?

Orchid: Another blue box gal. Don't know why but I do like it. All in all a good meal. Are you in the severe weather path?

I can't get over the especially good meals posted tonight.

Yes, Shirley, the lunch was a buffet, all you can eat and drink. The spaghetti is brought to your table on a plate though. One plate was enough for me.

got out some brats. dh had been taken out to lunch so just had sandwich out of them...he brought his salad home for my lunch (weds) today..it must have been huge, cause there's almost enough for 2!
