Home Again!

I've been away from the KT for so long! I fell and broke my left hip March 8 and just got out of rehab today (April 21). It sure is good to be home and back to seeing what my KT friends are up to. Hope you are well--I'll write more later.

glad everyone is on the mend! Holy smokes that is very very high blood glucose readings, was he diabetic? Good thing he was in the hospital with readings that high those are stroke levels. I am diabetic, mine have never gone over the mid 200 range in a flare up but even that scares the heck out of me. I would probably give my self a stroke if I got a 575 LOL good luck to him on getting that controlled!

"And by the way, no WAY would I allow a "walk through" a day before closing. No way. Is that a state-by-state thing? Walk through? it's not a rental." It's very common here, either by the owners or the real estate agent -- it's to ensure that the place has not been damaged between sale and closing, and to ensure that everything they said they were going to include in the sale is still in place and working. If anything is not right, it can be addressed and rectified (or compensated for) before closing. It's in the sales contract. I've had a designer and contractor in my (sold) place twice so far since selling -- the owner plans to start work immediately on possession, and so wants to have plans in place before hand. I don't mind......In fact, I agreed to 4 visits by the new owner (or people they send in their stead) as long as I got a request with at least a day's notice, and as long as the real estate agent was there. I've always chosen to be away when they were here. They'll have used 3. I had two visits in my contract for my new place, and I only used one.

Welcome back, Patti!! Boy, were you ever missed! Everyone was quite worried about you.... So sorry to hear of your fall but glad to know you are rehabbing well. Take is nice and easy, and write more when you feel up to it.

Omg Patti we were all very worried about you and where you were. I was hoping it was a wonderful vacation somewhere not in recovery from a broken hip!
Did you have replaced hip surgery?
Mom had that and the rehab too. I sure hope you are having a very speedy recovery.

I sure am glad to see you back but I hate you got hurt. Are you able to walk now? You have to take better care of yourself. We worry when we can't find you.

Welcome home to your home and welcome home to the KT. You've had a lot of us worried about you. I'm so sorry to learn that you broke your hip. Did you have a complete hip replacement or did they pin it? Be very careful not to fall again. Continue to do the exercises you were taught in rehab.

Patti, welcome home. It must feel wonderful to be there. You'll have to fill us in when you're more settled, for now, just take care of yourself, get some rest. Bet it's going to feel good to slide into your very own bed.
