Saw these and many other flora and fauna in a two hour hike earlier this week.

A Great Blue Heron...

Thank you all for your comments. Debra, I've never ordered Border Music, but it could be a mislabeled bonus plant. Dianna, You will love Bric-a-Brac. The blooms are smallish, but it is so cheerful looking. The foliage is nice too. Julie, I know it's hard to tell the bloom size in a pic with nothing to reference it to. HC is a much bigger bloom and all around heftier plant than BAB. But both are nice. Kay, Looking forward to seeing your CAT DANCER. I'm looking forward to seeing mine bloom too! I just love it. Avedon - Amber Finale is a great rebloomer if it gets enough sun and water. I had it planted where it only got 5 hours of sun for four years, and it never rebloomed. Then two years ago I moved it to a raised bed where it gets 8 hours of sun a day. It has rebloomed very well for two years. Its colors are a nice glowing blend at the end of the day. Oooh, I love your Black Phoebe! We have the Eastern Phoebe here. They came back every year when we had the pool, so we had a nest of them every summer for 20 years. But now that we've filled it in I don't know if they'll return. They loved to pluck insects off the pool surface. Nice pics, Jodi!

First, a couple corrections ...

The hummingbirds is an Allen's and the yellow mystery flower is an Elderberry.

Nola Anne, I have a Canon EOS 60D which is a digital SLR (DSLR) with interchangeable lenses.

Good shots. Where is the lake you go to? My relatives live in Dana Pt. and so much to see in that area also

Marie, the area I walk/hike is a wildlife sanctuary in Irvine, CA owned by the local water department run by an Audubon group. The lakes are actually marsh ponds and there are about 12 of them plus about 22 miles of trails.
