Especially for those of us " having a regular Sunday"?

I just pulled Riverrat's Lemon Buttermilk Cakes out of the oven. (A Bon Appetit recipe.)

I made 2 and half batches of Strawberry Freezer Jam yesterday afternoon from last summer's berries..so today I poured the "juice" from the bags into a sauce pan with equal amount of sugar..a squeeze of lemon juice and half a vanilla bean to make simple syrup.

I will use some to drizzle on the frosting going between the cakes, and the rest will be mixed with homemade lemon-ade.

BD will rotisserie 2 chickens that are in the fridge with our fav Rub on them.
I need to mix up the bourbon butter sauce for basting.

Typical Sunday for us...we often make a big meal..and hope to eat leftovers in various forms quick through the next week.

I am adding deviled eggs though..
and the remaining 2 boys at home have been munching on big See's Easter Bunnies...of course munching from the ears down!
