My son, Parke Sr, and grandson, Parke Jr, relaxing after first game in regional playoffs.

GS pitched the whole first game. Rules are he doesn't play in the second game. He gets to sit in the dugout.

This was inbetween games he got to visit with us.

They won both games, so another weekend of games coming up.

And he's taller than me now!

I tell people I'm leaving them feedback in the R&R when I email to tell them I got their seeds, hoping that'll inspire them... but I refuse to beg. ;-) I know what you mean. I write a positive review and then when I'm emailing them that I received my plants/seeds, I include a link to the thread/post I made...hint, hint. Yikes...I just checked and I have posted here 93 times, yet only have 20 reviews. A lot of my posts were conversations, or pointing members threads to the original review thread....or clarifying a correct spelling on a members name, or, or, or. They don't call me busy body Sue for nothing. bbs

NOOOOO--no Wegman's yet. But there are a couple of really nice ShopRite's--one only about 2 blocks away. Am keeping my fingers crossed for Wegmans. But--you'll laugh at me--I've already checked, there's a Roys on the GSParkway. Little further than Cherry Hill, but hey, now and again..... Still, even without my favorite shopping, I'll be so deligted to get away from the congestion, the planes flying low over my house every 45-60 seconds--we're under the approach to PIA (it's impossible to hold a connected conversation outside here in the summer)

My granddaughter and her boyfriend moved about an hour away early this summer.Yesterday the doorbell rang and there they were. Made my day,made my week actually! My husband and I went shopping this morning and came home to find my grandson cutting our lawn.So proud of himself because he had just passed his drivers test and drove over here himself. It was wonderful to see how proud he was, but now that is four out of seven grandchildren that I have to keep in my driving prayers.

I told you before about my Chinese friend I made down the road who has basically taken over the community garden spot, but said I could have anything I want from his garden. I haven't taken anything yet, but this morning I just decided to walk down and see if he was out gardening and what he has in. It was really early, and he wasn't there, so I just meandered through. There are spots where everything is just overgrown and overpopulated, and growing out into the pathways. I'm not greedy, because I know it's his garden, so I only take what is out of place or that I can clearly see he has enough to share. I ended up with 4 blue walking irises, 4 taros (they are EVERYWHERE, some just lying on the ground where he tossed them, sprouting leaves), three baby amaranths and something that looks like it may be turmeric, but not sure. I just bought a piece of turmeric to plant. :( Anyway, he also has hyacinth bean growing everywhere loaded with beans, so I'll see about getting some of those from him once they mature. He also has a lot of daylilies, so maybe he'll share some of those with me too. I'm having some dental work today, ECK! So this was a nice start to the day.

Thanks for sharing. I loved the happy days when our DS played Little League and DH coached. (DS didn't want to go on playing in HS.) I think I'd rather be around a bunch of beautiful, healthy boys than females the same age.

I know some of it is the camera angle, but just how LONG are those legs, Glenda?

He's long and lean!

So far at 16 plus he's still not interested in girls!

That's fine, there's plenty of time for that later. This time next year he'll be finishing his senior year and headed somewhere to college.

Those were some of our happiest days, when our kids played sports in high school. Holy cow, off to college next year? That doesn't even seen possible. Best of luck to him for the rest of his season.

Good pictures! I have so enjoyed watching PJR grow up and become such a great young man. I hope he doesn't go far away to college - you would miss him terribly.
