Happy Easter everyone. I am not going to church as I am too achy. I was shampooing my hair when the electricity went off. Our bathroom has no window and it is pitch black in there. I made my way out and sat at the front door. It did not come back on so I found a flashlight and got some bottles of water and went back to rinse my hair. Well, there was enough water in the lines for me to do that. I managed to get my hair rolled up but of course could not dry it. The power finally came on. I was wondering how I was going to finish up our meal at 1:00 if it did not come on. We are having our meal at Amber's and their power was off too.

It is very nice here this morning. I hope you all have an enjoyable day.

Wow, what a beauty you have near your house, and it's all for Easter. The Lord wanted to please you with beautiful flowers for this wonderful holiday. I usually go to church with my friends in the morning to pray first and then start celebrating this magnificent holiday. And while I'm going to church, I feel this festive atmosphere all over the city, and it inspires me a lot and also lifts my spirits. For some reason, even nature looks different on this day. After all, this world has a great connection between the Lord God and nature. Thank you for the photos. They are beautiful!

Gosh, I would have been frozen with a wet head, Marilyn. Hope it was warm enough so you didn't catch a cold. The sun is out here in Southern Oregon, but it still is chilly...think our breeze is blowing over ice somewhere. Just DH and me here at home this week....kinda nice and we are planting flowers in the flower beds. Hope you all have a wonderful day.... this Easter Sunday !

Sorry to hear that you were de-lighted on Easter eve, Marilyn Sue.

We had a lovely, inspiring Easter service, with our guitarist playing Easter-related words to Leonard Cohen's "Allel-u-ya" song that's been popular in recent years and a couple of our talented ladies doing a dance with commentary related to the Easter story adding extra inspiration.

Now ... it's time to remember that ...
... Christ has no hands but our hands.

But we also need to remember ... when we (and not just clergy) speak for God ...
... we must needs be careful what we say.

After the quiet time for meditation at the end of the service, just before we stood to leave, I stood and thanked everyone who'd had a part in the service for having provided us with such inspiration.

At the social hour, some of the participants ... and some of the congregation ... thanked me.

That's very sweet, OJ. I'm glad you enjoyed your Easter service. Dd and I stood for an hour, but it was well-worth it. Happy Easter to you!
