Yup, I can empathize with you, I do feel that way when I forget to put my earrings on. Don't matter whether I'm in a bathing suit, jeans or 'all gussied up' - got to have those earrings on or I feel like I'm naked.

I only recently quit wearing a watch when I am out and about. I wear a watch only if I have to know the time for an appointment or some such. Otherwise, I have a clock on the car dashboard and I can always turn on my phone to see the time.

Earrings for me too.And watch is second,even though I rarely look at it to see what time it is.I usually check the time on my phone.lol

If I am leaving the house I always wear my watch and my medic alert bracelet, if I leave without them it really bothers me. I have ear rings in all the time so I am never with out them, same with my wedding rings and my fleur-de-lis ring.

Yep, I'm naked if I do not have my watch and pocket protector with at least a mechanical pencil and a ball-point.

Yes, Glenda! I'm the same way. I have to have my watch on. And finding out that if/when I send my watch to the authorized service center I'll be without it for 6 to 8 weeks (minimum) made me crazy. So I bought another of the identical watch. An expensive undertaking to be sure, but when I eventually die, I will leave one watch to my niece and the other to my grand-niece.

And it's easier to sneak a peek at a watch on your wrist than it is to pull a cell phone out of a pocket or purse and sneak a look at it for the time.

I'm with you Glenda! It's been a year (yesterday), that I moved back to PA. The 1st week here..my good gold watch dropped off my wrist into the dishwater and died. 2 weeks later, my white gold watch disappeared off the face of the earth! Had both watches since 1998. Finally bought a cheap one in FL last week, while in FL.

I used to HAVE to wear my watch. I always had one on. When I was younger, I wore several at the same time (most of the time, only one was set to the correct time LOL).

I was called out for being an obsessive watch-watcher LOL. It was a compulsion for me to look at my watch, even though most of the time I could not tell you what time it was when I checked. So I stopped wearing it to break the compulsion.

It has been a couple of years, and you know, I STILL catch myself staring blankly at my wrist. I have people ask me what time it was, and I say I don't know. "You just checked your watch, didn't you?". Ah, no. I looked at my blank wrist LOLOLOL.

I don't wear a watch anymore. Too many times they got dunked in the dishwater or something. What I really miss if I don't have it is my cell phone. I have it clipped to me or on a strap around my neck and shoulder. I feel more secure having it since I am by myself most of the time and not real close neighbors.

I always wore a watch. Always. So did DH, he had to for work. The day he retired we both stopped wearing a watch daily. I still do sometimes, but he never does.

I'm like Dances, I got obsessive about looking at my watch so I quit wearing one. I always have my phone, and use that for the time. Wearing a watch stressed me out.

Mine was my wedding ring. I'd fiddle with it all day long. I still (after years of not wearing it) catch myself feeling for it. I had to sell it and my grandmother couldnt stand the thought so she bought it and passed it on to my mom when she died. It is weird seeing it on my mom's hand!

I hadn't worn a watch for years and years, I find if I'm not at a computer on in a room with a clock, I can usually just guess the time accurately enough, or look at my phone. However when we were taking a month-long cruise a couple of years ago, where there are important time deadlines like breakfast or lunch stops at this time, or the ship leaves port with or without you at this time, I decided I should get a watch. I got a cheap, velcro strapped, waterproof Timex at Target, and used it for the entire trip, but since then I haven't used it much, except as an alarm clock to wake up on weekdays. In fact I'm not sure where it is -- It is somewhere in the bedroom, and it goes off at 7:30 A.M and 7:35 A.M each weekday, but I haven't been able to locate it before it stops beeping. Although I supposed I'll need to find it after this weekend because of the time change.

A week or so ago, I had left my wallet in my gym bag, and went off to work. I realized shortly after I parked, but didn't have time to go home and back. Talk about really feeling naked.

I've never worn a watch even though I have six of them. I like bracelets and no watch but I have the same feelings with earrings. For the very few times I've forgotten to put them in and left the house, I keep a spare pair in the car. I feel naked without them. I wear large gold hoops mainly.

I'm pretty sure I haven't worn my watch since I retired nearly 4 years ago. I don't miss it. I check the time on my phone or one of the clocks in the house.

Just put my watch on, as I keep it on my computer desk as that's generally the last place I am before I go out for the day.

I am surprised at how many of you wear a watch. I stopped 8 or 10 years ago.

Forgetting my earrings makes me feel half-naked, but NO PURSE is a completely naked occasion. :)

I quit wearing a watch years ago, I was a cafeteria worker for 20 years and always was almost up to my elbows in water. I truely feel naked with out earrings, I also wear a piece of jewelery everyday with the word PEACE on it, that is my lifelong mantra for more years than I can remember, so a ring , bracelet or a necklace with that on it~~very naked without both of those;)

Well, my watch is waterproof to 300 meters (660 feet), so although I do take it off when I take a shower (no sense in getting soap scum between the links of the band), I keep it on when I go in the pool or to the beach.

My earlobes don't show because of my hair length/style, so I gave up wearing earrings a long time ago.

Not about jewelry, sometimes I don't wear it, but I would feel "naked" without bangs, have worn them most of my life, so a bare forehead would feel naked to me....

I would have to go back home and get it!
