FYI protection plans don't cover cat scratches. In fact the only animal damage covered by these plans is if your pet has an accident on the furniture. The reason for this is animal scratching, chewing etc. is considered potentially repetitive damage. For example the cat could scratch the sofa, it could be fixed and the cat could do the same thing again the next day. If you are making a claim and you have a pet it is best to never mention your pet. Look at your plan and carefully follow the procedure of how to make a claim. If you don't follow the procedure they won't honor the claim. Save your receipts and paperwork as you will need them if you ever have to make a claim. When you make your claim they will ask you questions, like when did it happen. Your answers will determine if your claim gets paid. Jaymar makes a well tailored product as many Canadian companies do. They used to make some more high styled products but have settled into a more classic design. They had a rocky spell when the Canadian dollar rose relative to the US dollars as was the case with many Canadian manufacturers but apparently they managed to get through that.

I swear I think they have one of their upholstered beds on display at Lakeside. I'm not sure it's the one you want, but...at least you could look at the overall construction. Some RH stuff I think is great, other stuff not so great and the prices are the same - high. I don't know why I am always in that store - it's like being inside the belly of a whale since they repainted it - because not a darn thing they have would ever fit in my living room where a 9x12 rug becomes "wall to wall carpeting"! :-) As an aside, Ballard Designs also does upholstered beds and I've got to imagine the price is better and I've always been pleased with their quality. Not that BD doesn't have quite an annoying shipping fee scheme, but RH is crazy too. I use ebates and get a little cash back, so I'm inspired to shop online from time to time. It's hard to outfit an entire house in the GNO area unless you have a lot of time on your hands.

tuesday_2008......I'm learning a bit here on this post as well. :0) The red stool @ Big Lots is a painted finish on ceramic for $20. For $30 QVC looks to have a quality fired glaze piece that's on sale! I've also noticed ceramic pieces cost the same as porcelain....but the antique drum posted on this thread looks to be porcelain. Porcelain may hold it's value better. I have seen several stools show up at the ARC. Nothing I liked...but I'v also noticed the older stools are NOT a plain solid color. The solid colors or ones that are pierced are the LATEST look....the style changed just a little over time.

I have been following this story some. Auntjen, I know you are really close to the source - if the mother is in jail near you. I know the parents are divorced, but since they were so very wealthy, it wouldn't seem like $1 mil would be a difficult bond to make. I know they have her passport, I am sure they are still concerned that she is a flight risk, but why doesn't she post bond? I still don't quite understand why Ethan is still in Mexico. I heard something about how if he is kept there until April, then he will be 19 and if returned here, he can't face jail time?? Is this just some legal ploy to keep him there until April? Can you shed any light on this? Is the father involved in this? I heard he made a comment to a police officer that he earns more in one day than said police officer earns in a year. He sounds just as deranged as the others. This is such a travesty of justice. I had never heard of affluenza prior to this case. What a crock. Parents should have been at fault for not teaching him right from wrong. They were able to afford high-powered attorneys. Maybe there should be something like poor-fluenza or middle-class-fluenza. So many families are now suffering without their loved ones and some are suffering trying to take care of loved ones who have been permanently disabled. All because this family thought that rules that apply to the rest of us don't apply to them. I think Ethan has been driving since age 13 - and to school. His father told school officials that is just the way it is. And then the judge who made this decision retired right after this case?? How convenient. I find the whole thing quite disgusting.
