Rabbit TV is nothing at all like Netflix, "it" simply redirects you to free content that's available and open for anyone on the internet. Here's a review from the San Francisco newspaper website (SF Gate): "It's a big-time scam. All Rabbit TV does is point you to websites that have video. And, with rare exceptions for breaking news, the big U.S. networks don't show live programming on the Internet. Ditto for ESPN, Disney and other top cable networks. With Rabbit TV, live streaming is limited to small local stations, religious and shopping channels. Repeat: There is nothing on Rabbit TV that you can't get by entering a URL into your browser. In fact, you can get the same experience that Rabbit TV provides by going to wwitv.com. That's World Wide Internet Television, which, like Rabbit TV, has a clickable menu for accessing websites of global TV stations that show live and recorded programming." Reviews on Amazon are similar, don't waste a penny on it.

"But it would seem logical that overseas locations cater to the overseas customers in that general area." It doesn't work that way. I believe Apple has some R+D in Ireland (and elsewhere, of course), and at one time also had finance and treasury people too. It's a very disproportionately large employee base given the small size of the country. These are examples (and there are many others) to show that particular functions may have nothing at all to do with the population of the country where located. Those 5500 Irish employees are in a country with a population of 4.7 million. Apple has 2200 employees (60% fewer) in Germany, a country whose population is 82 million (more than 15 times bigger). 6500 employees in the UK, the (of course) nearby English speaking country, whose population is 66 million. Who and how many are where depends on function location and other factors, there's no pattern or anything to assume. "If there was a legitimate issue with the account here in the US wouldn't it be far more likely that a US customer service location be contact, not a foreign one??" You've never called tech support or customer service for a US company and gotten someone in India? Or in the Philippines? I recently called customer support for Honeywell (the thermostat company) and spoke with someone in Mexico. They were very knowledgeable, helpful and very easy to understand but not in the US.

So, here I am today when I get an e-mail from VISA saying my recent Spotify charge of $9.99 was declined because it was posted against my old card number and I should update Spotify to my new #. I've never had a Spotify account, knew it was someone attempting to use my hacked data from my previous card and assumed the charge would not go through. Wrong! I called VISA and was told that through a "courtesy agreement" VISA has with certain companies, VISA had updated Spotify with my current card number. (They do this for recurring charges.) I asked why this would happen since I'd never had a Spotify account? I asked if I could prevent VISA from using this "courtesy agreement" on my accounts? VISA will not block "courtesy" updates until a recurring charge has occurred twice. In the interim, my card is being cancelled and I'm being issued a new card#. But, I have to wait until May 23rd to see if Spotify attempts to process another monthly charge to my just cancelled card and they update it with my newest card number. If so, I'll have to file another fraud report and then they will cancel future automatic updates. I will also have to cancel this newest replacement card that I've yet to get. Confused? It is hard to follow but I'm mostly mad! This will be my third VISA # since late October 2019.

My perspective isn't founded on the superficial isolation of houzz commentators and comes more from reality of the real world and the purchasing power of Lower socioeconomic people. About 29% of those who are retired have no savings and live on an average income of $1500 per month from social security. Odds are many are driving the car they retired with or a lower valued used car and possibly some are on a government cell plan like lifeline. 22% of people make less than $25,000 a year and 49% makes less than $50,000 a year. These people would be less likely to have or even qualify for the vehicles sought after by organized auto thieves. Some may have expensive phones but none will have both and most living on a tight budget would be more inclined to purchase a less expensive phone, but not always. Then you have people who qualify for free government phones like Alcatel Dawn, Kyocrea Hydro Reach and ZTE Prestige 2, not exactly top of the line and won't have a U chip. people with these phones exist. These people I mentioned above may not be in your family or circle of friends but they exist and they're not driving new Denali Yukons or Tesla models x vehicles. Referencing an example of an uncle or brother with a low value phone but of higher socioeconomic status is from a perspective they can't see beyond their nose through rose colored glasses.
