I sometimes think that some people don't start the thread because they don't want to have to come back to comment. I like doing it but it's not necessary at all. We just want the thread started.

Ahhh, McDonalds, fish sandwiches on sale 2/$4. Can't beat the price. Add in a cup of their broccoli cheese soup, and you've got a meal without dishes to do.

We went to the club tonight to finish up our minimum since we leave for Florida on Saturday. DH had a half-price hamburger since it's half price night tonight and my friend and I had a small Caesar salad and an appetizer of risotto and wild mushrooms. Just a perfect size dinner.

It was beautiful here todayâ¦in the 70's. Played my first 18 holes of golf since November. Shot 103 which is not great but I didn't expect much since I haven't had a club in my hand since early November and I didn't even get over early enough to hit some balls. The putting wasn't so great either and that's the best part of my game. Just a taste of the good weather to come.

Tony grilled hamburgers on the grill, I made baked beans & homemade french fries...It was all soooooo good!!!

I made turkey burgers on our green ceramic pan....a griddle, I guess. Baked some crunchy potato wedges which turned out good. Maybe not as good as Laura's fries. The burgers were stacked with Romaine, tomatoes, and onions with blue cheese crumbles.

Old Fixer, our 'happy hour ' consisted of cuke and zuke slices with homemade blue cheese dressing; beer for Robert and bourbon and club soda for me. :-)

I was ready for Spring, had chicken breasts and asparagus in the fridge..so fixed a favorite grilled meal after a stop at Safeway on my lunch hour for a few things to finish it.

Made a Mustard vinaigrette, marinated the smashed chicken breasts in it, plus cubed red taters and asparagus all on the grill...had to run off to view 3 more houses, so pulled it off the grill and into a warm oven..

It was delish though..and exactly what I wanted. Kamren ate two breasts sliced over romaine and spinach with Caesar dressing.

I've been craving asparagus lately. Your grilled dinner must have been yummy. Grilled asparagus is a fave of ours....and roasted, butter sauteed, in a cream sauce over pasta, in a frittata, steamed, etc. :-)

I wish that I could grow it here, but I'm not even going to try in this hard, terra cotta-like soil! Boo hoo. I still pine after my parent's large asparagus bed, from which childhood memories were made. After I left home, I planned some of my visits back home to coincide with asparagus harvesting time. Other visits were made during cider pressing season, lol.

This week asparagus is on sale for a great price .97 for a small bunch....350 grams. There are 454 grams in a pound so it's a good deal. we bought 2 bunches last week and again on Monday while the sale is still on. We love it roasted. On Sunday we breaded it in bread crumbs and parmesan and roasted it that way. We love asparagus, and it's a treat.

I paid 2.99 at Costco for 2.5 lbs. which is a great deal around here. It was $1 off though, not sure that "deal" will be available when I head back to Costco this weekend. If it is I will pick up another package.

Safeway $5 deal for Friday has 2lbs for $5. That is not a "deal".
