I've already made two different types of bread today and something sweet for snacking later, and I'm planning to cook a full sauerbraten dinner tomorrow, so for tonight it's going to be leftover homemade chicken & brown rice soup with a big salad and homemade cornbread. Now I'm getting hungry. :O)

Party, not positive about how to do the fish yet, but am leaning towards coating them in a mixture of freshly grated parm., panko, paprika, and chopped parsley, and baking. OR grilling them with a little garlic butter.

My meal was delicious. I tried jasdip's way of baking chicken breasts, and they were sooo good. Had a baked potato and steamed corn to go with it. The 'recipe' is a keeper.

Beef Barley soup. Smells so good in here. Should be done in about half an hour.

Fresh pork tamales with chili, salad with guacamole.

Pizza and green salad. Domino's offered all their pizzas at 50% off retail through 03/23. We like the pan pizza with no sauce and lots of vegetables.

Grilled burgers and fries..simple..
Did lots of work in the yard.. It was easy.

We had a well-done roast beef with gravy, broccoli and potatoes that are sliced almost all the way through drizzled with butter, garlic and chopped fresh rosemary.

Yumm....good stuff tonight! I'd have been well pleased to be at your table. I must admit that my mouth is watering at the thought of Jasdip's roast beef sandwiches tomorrow....smothered with gravy, I presume.

Raven, I had tamales for lunch yesterday, at the Mexican place not far from here. We love that little place, authentic and close enough to call in an order for take-out if we feel like eating in.

Angelaid, do you put mushrooms in your beef barley soup? That's something that is so wonderful when you need something hearty and comforting. Love it.

We did some yard work, too. It was such a pretty day and we needed to do some serious pruning on three trees. It was funny to see how interested the birds were in our activities.

Jasdip: If you hear rustling coming from the kitchen in the middle of the night, that'd be me -- looking for the leftovers!

Tonight, 2 days before forecasters think we'll probably get a bit of snow in N.Va., I'm jumping ahead to one of my summer foods: salmon, cooked in the oven with some ginger teriyaki sauce, with broccoli and yellow rice as sides.

Last week I posted one of our favourite ways of baking boneless chicken breasts.

Dip breasts in a mixture of melted butter, some worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard and garlic in a dish then roll in bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. Bake 375 45 minutes or until done.

Delicious! So moist and flavourful. Patti and Harry loved this as well.

I add mushrooms if I have them. None yesterday. It was good and filling. I tasted and adjusted and tasted and adjusted so many times, I was too full for dinner and just had a slice of warm sourdough bread with butter. LOL
