What's for Dinner Wed evening?

I guess we had our St. Pat's dinner tonite, finally.
For the past couple of days I've had the urge for Bangers and Mash.

We had sausages and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and boiled cabbage. Man it was so good.

What is on your plate this evening?

Your dinner sounds very good. I made some chili this afternoon. Just had that with a glass of milk. There's a chill in the air here so it was what the dr ordered.

Have a meeting tonight at the county office building, and they serve bottled water, cold sandwiches, chips and cookies. Better than nothing.

My roast was a chuck cut. The only cut for Pot Roast in my opinion. Big chunks of onion and carrot to add flavor were browned in the pan first and then removed and browned the roast sprinkled with salt and pepper. Then put everything back in the pot with beef broth, sprigs of rosemary and thyme, whole garlic cloves, and cooked long and slow on the crockpot burner of my stove. The broth is strained at the end, but we did eat the nice big chunks of carrots. It was very good. And I love my new Dutch oven!

Mary, I had to look up what Pasta Fagiola was. It sure sounds healthy! Shirley, the weather was sunny all day here as well. Just loved being outside in it. Wendy's chili is a meal in itself and one of the most popular choices on their menu. You made 2 stops for your dinner! Hellion sliders with your healthy sides sure sounds good. Lots of good choices. I'd have the chocolate cake AND ice cream. Sue, I had oatmeal last nite! We're supposed to get more snow and cold temps again starting tomorrow nite. Susie, did you see Gadgets at McD's?? ;-) Kittiemom, I would love to have a barbecue. What kind of sandwiches did you do?

Wow, your dinners all sound fantastic! Kickin' shrimp fettucine sounds amazing Raven! Steak and potatoes would never be turned down, here. Rhizo, your chicken cutlet sauce sounds delicious, as usual. I'm hoping asparagus is on sale again this week. Shirley, good thing you keep Stouffers on hand for days like today when you don't feel like cooking. CountrySunshine, haven't seen you here in ages!!! Welcome back. Chinese takeout is a treat and we don't even get hungry in an hour. LOL Sue you had a real summertime meal!!! Wow, you must be itching for hot weather :-)

Had our little annual get-together with four other friends from school where we either worked or are still there. It's always fun......hostess makes a kettle of soup, and we bring appetizer stuff. We just gab and laugh and have a good time.

Shirley, it was mild today but drizzly and freezing rain at times. I felt colder today than I did on Monday when it was much colder.

I've been marinating cut up chicken breasts, mushrooms, crookneck squash, and zucchini all day and we'll make kabobs. I guess I'll make some of my mixed grains, too.

Seared salmon fillets with a balsamic sauce, baked potato and steamed broccoli/cauliflower for a side veggie. As always, a dish of raw veggie strips for crunch since I didn't make a salad.

Roast chicken here too, w/ salad, baked potato, & broccoli. What's really important, though, is that I picked up a rump roast today and will start a sauerbraten marinating tonight! :o)

I have been gone most of the afternoon at Terri's house doing up somethings so she would not have to deal with when she gets to come home from being with Bill. Cheryl had the hardest of the work to get done. I did some laundry and brought some laundry home. By the time I got home it was past my supper time, so I just had smoked sausage and a glass of chocolate milk. All your meals sound good.

We had baked ham, baked potatoes, carrots and applesauce. Our grandkids and their parents joined us. It was wild, but fun.

Scrapplle and toast! No one up here has ever heard f scrapple. I got it in my mind and *had* to have it. Ordered it from PA. It got here today. For 70.00, it better be every darn bit as good as I remember it! LOL
