Wow you guys thanks so much! I would like to thank you all for making me, a kid, feel welcome on this adult forum. It really means a lot to me. You all have given me such good advice and I appreciate it so much. Maybe I will start up again one day but for now I will just keep what I have. Laura, your plumeria is doing great. My foxtail palm (which I planted nearly a year ago) is just now making its first leaves. Haha I didnt think they were that slow haha. My needle is planted in the ground and I will see what will happen to it this winter. Hopefully it will survive. But again thanks for helping me and making me feel welcome here. Hi Hunter!!! Im so glad to hear that you are heading to KY!!! Seems like it has been awhile since you were wondering where you all would move...Enjoy the time with your family!! Time really goes by so fast... I agree with WS...use this time while renting to see what grows well in your area and focus on what you really want to grow and learn about soil, watering, ferlilizers. You can use this time to your advantage and really focus on the containers that you do have!!! Making them stronger and healthier will bring you much joy!!! Be safe on you travels... I've never slept in my car.... unless it was on a trip where DH was driving and I took a nap. LOL, Many people that have been hit by this economy thought they were certain they could support the kids they were having... now they are losing their jobs, homes, cars, and living with relatives and some are homeless living in tent cities. Then there are those that had kids born into poverty and have worked and made a life for themselves... that's me. and my life is better than many that went to college, had high powered jobs/careers, or thought they had it all figured out with a plan... in fact, when I read about a father offing his whole family and then himself.. and there have been more of these stories as these people that have been hit by the economy fall from grace... they can't handle the fall so they take a cowards way out. They are not poor families that have always struggled.. they are guys that lost their high paying jobs and status... guys that don't wanna live in a tent. and I'd rather live in a tent with my loving big family than be a lonely miserable person that thinks money is more important than life & love... LMAO at saving for college... Have you been watching the news? The whole world is having a difficult time right now financially! Who here has NOT been affected? Who here has extra money to stash away for a college fund right now? (maybe a handful, but not many I'm sure) That's funny!!!

Nothing yet! We are still waiting for the insurance settlement to get things started. Our kitchen was ordered back in April and is expected to be delivered by June 9th. Our contractor is scheduled for the week of June 12th. But the reconstruction and repair of our walls, moldings, floors, etc, has not started yet and may force us to delay the kitchen install. We were told that the work may start this coming Monday which would be great, as that would keep us on schedule. I am trying to be hopeful. I now have everythingvelse picked out except the backsplash. My Kitchen floor will be grouted Alterna vinyl in Sistine White. The ajacent dining room floor will be Mirage Maple Sonora hardwood... and I already shared the Basset dining table which has been ordered. I just can't wait to get back home, especially to all my newly designed rooms!
