GOLF caught my eye! Avid golfer here... who else?! It's going to be a better year, I hope! It was miserably WET here last year. :( I was at the golf course yesterday... on my cross-country skiis. :) If we're extremely lucky with the weather from here on out, we could potentially see the course open at the end of March. :p

For your indoor shot I can only see a pic but it looks a little more like a bumper pool setup. :)

had to send this to dh, lol..he's got golf fever so bad he cries every time we pass the local course, lol....(under about a foot of snow still)

Thank you for showing these, I love full bush shots! And it's so encouraging seeing other's roses already in bloom. Tiffany has always enticed me. I have to say, I've held my McCartney with little regard. The roses are lovely, but my bush is a 7ft tall gangly monster. I have to say, it's not really the rose's fault. I've done practically nothing to it, it just keeps coming back year after year. The spot I had planted it in really calls for a smaller rose.

What a great post! Everything from sheer beauty to the funniest of photos. I love Jeri's calm and peaceful cemetery. Joe's photos are exceptional. I can get lost in the fourth one of water reflections. Florence, your water colours are charming. How lucky you are to have such a talent. I particularly love the one of the vase of tulips on a windowsill. Ingrid, what beautiful images. I love the back lit garden scene in the fourth photo. Hoovb, I love it when you are being naughty! Sherry, One thing I have seen occasionally here in Crete that looks good in people's porches or covered terraces. They put up a few shelves on the wall, and then put a frame all round them. On the shelves they place small pots of succulents and other small plants. It becomes a picture of real plants, they look very charming. Failing that, you could use your picture of Sean in an orange nappy and hoovb's gnomes. Daisy

I have some of those same plants and 34f then 35f nights stressed but did not kill. A.gypsophila leaf or two was slightly disclored..not much more colder and Im sure they fold up. The previously mentioned E.enopla also turned more yellowish then most winters..I think that it was ready for spring growth or flowering and so got caught in between being active and winter ready. Tree Aloe's like medusa handle over 30f cold no problems. A.barbarea sure does have problems..spotted leaves,like a overripe banana. E.polyganata(?) handles cold like a champ-I got to add more with that icy blue coloration. Its as perfect now as summer. A.attenuata does well in my yard-it enjoys the overcrowding and being sheltered..looks fine while some nearby as city road dividers look roughed up by winter. In 07 my Attenuata did have a few leaves burned...grew out of that fast in spring. Its all part of growing tropicals where it sure isnt tropical. ANY part of the year!

It's cute.
Another avid golfer here.
Because of the Calif drought, I've been able
to play all winter. I'm actually in Palm Springs
right now enjoying their beautiful courses.

We just had our Friday golf group (The Bogie Babes) meeting here this morning. All 12 showed up. A first to have everyone come to the meeting. I think we all have cabin fever. Usually by now we've had a chance to get a few games in but it's either raining, too cold, snowing or too mucky. I leave for Florida next Saturday and am hoping that when I get back it will be beautiful here.

Enjoyed the video and am wondering what his/her handicap is.

At the top left of the video there's a speaker that you can un-mute. You can definitely hear the tones of the different pots!
