I was close! Lots of Ss instead of Rs. I know that "a quick brown fox jumped over the lazy fox" is all of the letters.

Juno is a good guess. I ruled it out because I'm sure they eat a lot of red meat in Alaska but on the other hand, it's probably moose meat.

I can probably list all the states but I would need Wikipedia to name any capitals. The only two state capitals off the top of my head that I know are

Olympia
Sacramento

so those are my guesses.

In elementary school we were forced to learn a song titled "Fifty Nifty United States" that contains as part of the lyrics an alphabetized list of the states. So I can, to the day, recite all of the states from memory, but only in alphabetic order, and only in a strange sing-song-y cadence.

As a test I just wrote down all of the states names, and tried to fill in the capitals for them, and got 50 out of 50 although I misspelled the capitals of Maryland and North Dakota, and I guessed for Tennessee.

I was the ONLY one in my political science class at university who knew the placement of all of the states and their capitals. That really shocked me. What-re they teachin' these youngins?

I'm sitting here on vacation, crocheting and I said wait a minute, Juno isn't spelled Juno, it's Juneau.

Also said to DH it's probably Vermont, aren't they the state that wanted to secede from the union? Surely they wouldn't want anything as American as apple pie and McDonalds in their state capital! LOL However, I see Bob beat me to it. I say Vermont, too.
