It's Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday)! Anyone else have pancakes on this day? This pic is from a couple of years ago.

I had no idea that it's Pancake Day. I don't plan to make pancakes today, but if I change my mind I promise to photograph them. :)

I made apple crisp last night, but didn't photograph it. How about raspberry-almond coffee cake instead? but with double the raspberries and almonds! I made this last week and tasted to make sure it was ok before I took a quick pic. :O)

Prairie Rose, I have one other antler, so I guess I am starting a collection? LOL I'm not very artistic, so I will just be keeping them in their natural state. :) Marcia, here is a weird looking bird I saw at the San Diego Zoo a few years ago. Our pink trumpet tree (Tabebuia) is putting on its spring show now. The related yellow is, too, but because they don't play well together color-wise, they are kept separated by a house. :) [The photo below was only cropped, not enhanced, or otherwise 'shopped in any way--those vibrant colors were the real deal!]

Glenda's green, segmented, tube rafts were the exact color of a caterpillar I plucked from my holiday cactus the other day. It even curled into a circle when I grabbed him. Before my brain registered the true subject of Glenda's photo, it flashed a "OMG, it is a huge pile of those caterpillars!" lol It was a bit more vibrantly colored than the one below, but the same species.

Couldn't find a good picture of pancakes, or waffles, but I found these from a lunch stop at the end at a horseback ride through the Costa Rican rain forest.

Do-It-Yourself hand-made tortillas.

Emergency vehicles descending on an apt bldg. Lots of vehicles.......fire trucks are always the first to respond; 4 of them, then 2 cop cars, a cop van, and finally the Emergency Medical Services. Whenever there's a heart attack or other medical emergency the fire trucks are the first to respond, then the other emergency people.
