Comments (12)I never saw yesterdays show and only saw todays because I was zipping through channels and saw that he was talking about the mom and babies. Did anyone else see in the audience, I am sure it was Kate from the Jon and Kate show, was it? I don't know what they talked about yesterday or who they had on the show. But todays they had this women who helps big 5 star people and where people talked about the hotel she moved into it, it wasn't, it was a rental because the mom and this lady was having death threats which they took seriously and she was only there with her other children for 3 days and they are back home now. The picture of this spacious living room that was shown in some magazine was a friend's house who let her have the pictures taken there. The house that her parents own and she lives in with the kids are only two bedrooms and its wall to wall cribs. Also they talked to the dad and he told Dr. Phil that he and her parents went to the doctor to tell him not to do it and he said he wouldn't but he sure did as 8 babies later, here they are. According to another doctor, Dr. Phil had on the show said that this doctor had two law suits against him, one was dropped. And Dr. Phil asked this doctor that does plastic surgery could he tell by looking at the pictures of this mom if she had it done and he said yes her nose, possibly chin, lips. Another one of the doctors said that when you are pregnant and have eclampsy, etc. that your body swells up so alot of the before picture could be the reason that the face shifted and looks different. He said yes, that is true but he looked at a picture of her high school picture and said she did have touches done. Dr. Phil said if she did have those done what would be the cost of them? $20,000.00. That means the money to used for her babies she has been using for her own good. Yes, I feel that those babies need protecting plus her other children and that someone else has to be in control of the money to only be used for their needs, not the mom's. She gets nothing and that is the way it should be. They also said that there will be tons of watching those babies and kids to make sure they are well looked after and not abused. Dr. Phil said the mom's church is rallying together people to help them out when the babies come home. Can you imagine two bedroom house and its already wall to wall cribs, where is it all going? More cribs, bottles, formula, diapers, all the things needed to care for babies. This lady said that they can get her help to rent a house, etc. as its cheaper for them to have her keep the kids then put them into foster homes. I hope they are there all the time watching this mom that she is caring for those babies. The big question was, was she caring for the kids she already has herself?...See MoreOct Mom has met her match-Dr Phil today!
Comments (8)I don't know if I am about to reveal the outcome of the show to anyone who didn't see it in it's entirety, but I guess it really doesn't matter since everyone seems pretty disinterested anyway. I watched the whole show and I have a whole new perspective on this woman now.I originally felt like everyone else, that she was selfish,in it for the money, etc.I think Dr.Phil did make an impression on her and made her think a little farther into the future than what she has been.He concluded that she lives in a fantasy world, has little concept of the real world and is immature in her thinking and problem solving skills.Because I have some family members who have the same problem,I can fully understand it.It's not their fault and nothing anyone can do can change it.Their minds just don't work in the same way that some other people's minds work! She did finally admit to Dr. Phil that she made a mistake by becoming pregnant again and by having all 6 embryos implanted.I do understand her thinking about implanting all 6.she thought it would result in only one or maybe two and she didn't want to "kill" (which in her eyes is what it would have been) the other embryos.Yes,she could have kept the other embryos frozen indefinitely, but in her mind she was "done having babies" and using all the embryos made it "final".At the end of the show Dr. Phil said that she called him after she came home from the hospital that evening and told him that she had realized that the nurses had been taking care of her babies and that she hadn't really thought ahead to what it would actually be like when she got them all home. She said also that she realized that she hadn't cried in months, and that she had been crying since she got home. She also sent him a multiple page list of things that had to be in place before the hospital would allow her to bring those babies home and she was very concerned about that.Regardless of what we think about this woman, those babies are here and she will need help to care for them and her other children. As the old saying goes, lets not throw out the baby with the bathwater (no pun intended). Also remember that there are people out there who will try to profit from all of this.I don't put much stock in "they say". JMHO...See MoreDr Phil today....Thursday
Comments (11)I had to be gone when it was on today, taped it, and just now finished watching. Bizarre is a good description. There was a case against the head guy where I used to work. He was so arrogant and cocky about how the case would never be proven...he was innocent, etc. During hearings, he kept saying things like "I'm innocent, give me a lie detector test and I'll prove it". Well lawyers on the other side had had enough of him so finally said 'yes, and if you pass conclusively, my client will drop the case'. Oh, you should have seen him. At first he was all nervous, then he calmed greatly, and agreed. He honestly thought he could con the lie detector AND the administrator of the test. He failed so miserably, it wasn't one bit funny. But to this day, if anyone would question him, he'd say it was rigged so he'd fail. Shirley...See MoreLocator Troy Dunn is on Dr Phil today...
