It's getting colder again here. Snow flurries off/on, but enough peeks of the sun to let me know it's still there.

I had Stouffer's creamed chipped beef over a potato and a side dish of Asian medley steamed vegetables.

We've got another cold spell again, it gets down to -25C overnite which is -13F

I had a few veggies which needed to be used up so I sauteed them up nice and brown, threw in some crushed tomatoes and spices and cooked some ziti. Pasta primavera.

We finished the brownies that were in the freezer.....I may have created a monster! I'll be making more on the weekend, for sure.

It has been cold here today, tonight down to single digits again. I have been working on the hat that goes with Alyssa's birthday dress. I just have to make a white bow for the front of it. I was not feeling too well nor very hungry so just had some buttered toast and tea.

Shirley, I think I have a chipped beef gravy in the freezer. Still not very hungry though. I had made a pot of Bear Creek broccoli cheese soup and it is very filling (and also very salty). But it tastes good.

Jasdip, you are the queen of using up everything before it goes bad. Half the time, stuff ends up in the disposal here.

Sue, Dr. Patti prescribes a large dose of sunshine and several estate/garage sales per diem. I know you are probably sick to death of the weather when you're so used to being out and about. Hang in there--it won't be long!

I made DH pizza burgers like his mother used to make, and crockpot macaroni and cheese. I had a hamburger instead of the pizza burgers.

That pizza burger sounds scrumptious with mac and cheese, Tami! But I'd probably go with your hamburger. With a thick slice of onion and lots of mayo!!!

Cheryl, I tried rendering lard once. It was okay but not anything special for the toil! I do love me some fried taters.

Terri, I haven't tried roasting cauliflower but I've seen pictures on Pinterest and it looks good. I do like roasted Brussels sprouts. They get all brown and yummy!

Last week was hot dog time around here, so I'm late to the party. We grilled some brats, I made some slaw, and cooked up a batch of onions and green peppers. Robert will have heart burn later from the peppers....but you've gotta have them with brats!

Fried rice with crab, leftover from Monday and after a long day at the hospital. Didn't even take it out of the container after microwaving. Not like me! Really really tired. Happy, but tired.

DH and I went to the movies yesterday afternoon and then went to Longhorn's for dinner. I had their grilled shrimp and Caesar salad. The salad was huge and then came out 12 skewered shrimp served over rice with mixed veggies. I brought half of it home and will have for dinner Thursday night since we're going out for dinner again tonight.
