Comments (4)I don't think there's any miracle there. You grew the plants properly. Peppers grow well between 65-85 degrees, especially bell peppers. When you planted them, you pruned to promote root growth and thus the plants continued to grow. The bought plants have probably been stunted by rapid temp changes, improper watering or the use of growth regulator. Or they could have been pushed with heavy fertilizer application and just ran out of steam. Or they were root bound and have to adjust to grow again. Down here I plant them a couple of weeks after my tomatoes because unlike the tomatoes they will continue to produce in the heat. That production during the heat is where people get the idea they like lots of heat. I think peppers would like to grow between 65-85 best....See MoreHow do you find 'hot topics' forum?
Comments (11)They are not "nice". I guess that's not fair but have thick skin if you go over there. I wanted to hear some thoughts on a subject once and posted more a a top starter with a short opinion from me, but did say I will not get into a debate, just wanted some insight/opinions from different people. A few of the more long winded posters cut me down about not wanting to get into a debate, said I should not come to hot topics if I don't want to debate...Yuck....See MoreFollowup on March 30 topic
Comments (29)Hi aliceinwonderland_id, If I end up changing out the resin, I'll look at it under the microscope. I'll post what I find. Iron and Manganese are pretty much unchanged at 1.2 and .14 respectively. I have an Iron Out question. My brine draw cycle follows immediately after backwash. Brine draw is set for 60 minutes. I sat for 30 minutes and never heard the sound change. I believe it takes the full 60 minutes to empty the brine tank. My resin tank is 13x54 and the brine tank is 15x17x36. Your iron out directions said the brine tank should be empty at about 10 minutes. Should I wait the full hour until the tank is empty or somewhere in between? There is a "RR" rapid rinse cycle that is ten minutes following the brine draw if that matters......See MoreThis forum is on track to be worse than Hot Topics
Comments (29)That's a new one one me! I've found that some grammar rules change by region. I did well in grammar and remember being taught not to use "it" for people and that him/his (3rd person singular) is the correct pronoun for any situation where you don't know if the person is male or female. Isn't they/them/their 3rd person plural? I'd find that too confusing with the mixing of subject-verb agreements. An example of regional grammar I've encountered is the Oxford comma.. I was talking with a group from a variety of locations and some had been it taught as children and there were some of us that had not been taught it. The other interesting difference was how to pronounce the flower Peony. Another one is you'all vs. ya'll....See Morepetaloid
