I went to the Urologist today. He said my kidney is good, Creatnine (amount of poisons in my blood)is good,the incision is healing well. And I've lost a total of 8 pounds. I'd like to lose about 10 more. He said walking is good exercise, but still no housework, lifting, and no driving. I have two more "procedures" ahead of me- remove the stent tube leading from new kidney to bladder and close off my dialysis fistula in my left arm. It will all be over in about 3 months. But he did stress full, complete healing is long-term, takes about a year.

Thanks so much for keeping us informed. I find it truly miraculous how they can transplant parts from one body to another. I hope you continue to do as well (or better) as you have been doing so far.

I couldn't be happier for you. What, besides not having to go to dialysis, is the biggest change you feel? Organ transplants are amazing! Thanks for sharing your good report and hope you will keep us up to date. I know it hasn't been all roses, but you sure are handling it well.
