Does anyone have a recommendation for online driving school?

I got my first ticket in almost 48 years. Grrrrr. I can take an online driving course to avoid points.

Check with your local Dept of vehicle .. I too went thru that, only I just paid it due to the fact there were a few times I did deserve that ticket but did not get one. I drive a bit faster that I should and have made what I call a Calif stop at stop signs.===that is slow down and go on. I don't do that as much here as that is too dangerous--too many trucks

I don't know where you live, Drew...but almost every State recognizes AARP's driver safety program/driving course. Check out their site in the link below and see if it will satisfy your needs.

Sorry 'bout your ticket. I received one...the only one of my entire driving career...over 35 years ago...for sliding through a stop sign on an icy street just about this time of year. I was furious with the local police. They were going off duty and decided to ticket me at 7:00 AM because they'd had a slow night. So...I know how you're feeling right about now. I should have contested mine but I was too busy to spare the time away from work and I let it go.

One caution: Flash drives contain a "keep alive" battery. That battery may be good for 10 yrs or more, but it is one of the weak points. Beware that sometimes a store may have on sale older drives they wish to move off the shelf. Before you purchase a 'bargain' drive check its date of manufacture on the packaging. If the drive is 5 years old, it is better to buy a newer unit. The memory junctions do wear out. Those are good for about 10,000 writes and rewrites. That's old information so I expect there has been improvements, however, those will eventually wear out. Manufacturers have done a clever thing. internally, these drives contain a program that control writing process. To improve the life of the unit, the internal control shifts the partition and moves the write location so that with use the entire drive gets used, not just the front end. Most of the time, a drive has more space than what is stored on it, so shifting the data location extends life of the junctions by shifting the data location. These drives are just fine for data storage and composing letters with a word processor, or storing photos. I do not recommend using them for active gaming where thousands of rewrites occur during a game session. Its ok for storing the game's data file, but for playing, copy the data files to the hard drive and when the game is done, copy the new data files back to the flash dive.

I'm 6-0 and find it comfortable. There is enough of an incline from top to bottom that allows you to lie back nicely. However, comfortable depends on how you like to sit in a tub. The inside dimension at the top of mine is about 5-7, and less of course at the bottom. You obviously can't lie completely flat on your back, but since you said you are looking for a tub that is 6' or smaller, I doubt you could find one where that would be possible unless it was close to straight sided, and that might not be comfortable to lean back against. When you have a tub with a certain maximum length at the top, increasing the lean decreases the effective length at the bottom where you sit. So you want some lean for comfort, but not too much. Do you live somewhere that has showrooms where you could at least eyeball different style/shape tubs, if not sit in them?

People who text and drive know they aren't supposed to and that it's illegal. They just don't care. They either think it won't happen to them, that they are special and can handle doing both at once, or that their "stuff" is so important that it's worth the risk. People can justify anything. I have a friend who continues to text and drive even after getting an expensive ticket for using his phone at a red light. A couple of years ago, we were riding in a car together with him driving. He pulled out his phone on the freeway and I asked him not to use his phone while he was driving, and he got offended by the implication that he can't handle it. That was the last time I ever got into his car. Personally, I think mandatory jail time for anyone who uses their phone while driving, including at red lights. Maybe that will help.

Petalique, it's nationwide. Some communities, like my own, seem to do it very quietly any more. Not a single notice on tv that I've seen. There used to be more importance placed on it. My mothers little larger town, same state, always provided a bag - right up until she moved into senior living and they may still be doing it. We haven't been given a bag to fill in several years. Quick dash to the store which was wildly crowded right before mothers day. And of course ran into people we knew and DH needed to visit. I'd put on a clean shirt, still had my yard work pants on. I bought boxed scalloped potato dinners, boxed Kraft mac and cheese, few Dinty Moore 38 oz beef stews canned, put in a few cans Costco tuna. I don't think we've done a food bank donation since Christmas so we were due. I'm not happy with the inflated grocery prices but we're not going without anything - meaning I really should help where I can. I usually buy a couple of cases of one thing or another at Costco and it completely slipped my mind the last time we shopped there. If I'd wanted flowers I'd have been in good shape at Safeway. One entire end of the store was stuffed with cut, loose, arranged flowers and plants for Mothers Day.

fines gone up. This site was cheap and fun to do.
