Thank you all, my dear, dear friends. Yesterday we had one of those days here at our house -- no water for 36 hours, Freya sneaking a pizza off the kitchen counter, and the smell of fresh polyurethane pervading the cold, damp house.... On the other hand, I had the loving affection of Tom and my DS Jacob, calls and cards from family, and greetings from all of you. And tonight we're going out to dinner to try celebrate again. Carla, Luanne, Jon, Anita, Lori, Ingrid, Sue, Carolina, Pamela, and Carol -- each one of your messages brought smiles and memories to my mind. I just realized that with the exception of Ingrid, I know each one of you in the Real World (as opposed to online) -- Ingrid, we'll just have to correct that soon. Thanks so much for all your well wishes. I had a nice, quiet day which I enjoyed. We don't celebrate birthdays in my family anymore. I've heard from most of them in one form or another: mail, email, phone calls. The last one I just got was a 'present' though. My granddaughter who lives several states away says they might get to visit in the spring....hooray....I'll get to see her 3 precious kids (one I have never seen yet). Shirley

I want to thank each and every one of you for the good wishes on 'my' day. I really do appreciate them. I'm going to save Phyllis' and claim the promises each and every day this upcoming year. lol It's been quiet here. I stopped doing birthdays a long time ago, but my family always calls, sends cards or ecards to let me know they remember and care. That's all I need. I fixed myself a hamburger on Ezekiel bread w/sauteed mushrooms, added a bowl of soup, and finished it off with a clementine. I just found those things this year, and I'm going to hate when they're out of season. Shirley

Thank you so much to all of you for the birthday wishes. They mean a lot to me. We don't celebrate birthdays in my family, except for the little ones. I get cards, emails, phone calls. My ear is on the red side from being on the phone for so long. lol
