In the cool, cool, cool of the morning.........

It's -29ÃÂº here this morning, and I have a 9:00 dr. appointment. Just hope the car agrees....it's in the garage, of course, but unheated. It's hard to believe that it's that cold,as the house is nice and cozy.

Yikes--I don't even know what that would begin to feel like! Stay warm and good luck with the trip to the dr.

Here it's +28--but we woke up to it snowing. The ground is covered, streets are still just wet. Hoping it's not too much, because we wanted to get out this morning to get to the bank, and then to city hall to pay the electric/water bill.

It is now 5 above this morning and was lower than that, I am thinking my daughter said it was 3 above. Chilly for sure.

It can go directly in the garden if it is just poop, but rabbits tend to poop and pee in the same place hence some letting it 'cool'. Unless you are using a ton of it I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Your ground water is not quite cold enough for passive cooling. It should not rise above 46ÃÂ°F ~ 47ÃÂ°F. You will also have to remove the humidity from the fan coils and have enough water flow from your well for both cooling and domestic water usage. How do you plan to responsibly dispose of the water used for cooling? That could be up to about 600gph. You would not likely return the water to the same well as the temperature will may rise above the level of viability. SR

I have HEPA air filters in multiple rooms of my house but it is still very dusty. I thought it was because the windows were open earlier in the year, because this is a dusty environment (Sierra Nevada mountains) but the windows have been closed for a month. There isn't forced air here, so it isn't the ducts. I vacuumed an entire bag's worth of dirt out of the carpets the first two months I lived here with a brand new Miele vacuum. I fixed the dryer vent which leaked. The dust still appears overnight! Help! I like the idea of a filter before the box fan although I am going to have to come up with something more attractive than duct tape to make that work in my bedroom!

I am good with either as long as they don't sleep too hot. I was set to buy LL Bean percale which have been highly recommended around the web but the most recent reviews aren't all that great. I live in the UK currently and will only be home for a few days and won't have time to run around checking out every b+m store's selection. Bonus if anyone has a recommendation for a white or gray blanket for a king sized bed that isn't too heavy.

Wow Phyllis! Good luck, I hope your car starts!

We had cold temps last week (not that cold) and some cars had trouble starting.

It's -13C and I just got in from shovelling the parking lot and sidewalks. Cold, but no wind, and light fluffy snow.

While I was "warming up" the car, clinic called to say I could postpone until Monday, but by then I was jacketed and ready to go. Old car really had square wheels this morning!

Finally got warmer this morning and at noon it is 1 above. Feels like summer (well, almost). Need to go to get gas etc.
