Yes, she was a pleasure to watch, in all her movies. Sadly - she died Monday - R.I.P., Shirley.

I spent much time watching her movies, growing up. There was a station that played old movies after school. I see her videos and wonder if my own kids would enjoy her the way I did--back in the day. I am doubly impressed that she and her family managed to avoid the pitfalls of "fame". No lurid stories about "the casting couch" , drugs etc. It seems she lived her life well and that is very refreshing.

the weird thing is, when we had animal crackers for trivia, I looked her, you know, because of her song, and I saw when she was born and said, uh oh! Dang it. Farewell United States Ambassador (to Czechoslovakia) Black! You are well loved.

I loved her movies. My kids and I watched them all when they were growing up. Shirley herself grew up to become a woman of many accomplishments, maintaining her charm and grace throughout.

I saw her in person once. She looked "cute" even at an older age. What a bright, adorable little one she was and went on to a worthwhile career. She must have had good parents to guide her.

I loved all her movies, my favorite was Heidi. My Mom was a big fan, because I had naturally curly blond hair as a child, Mom did my hair just like Shirley's. Now my hair is now plain brown and gray.

She wrote (or a ghostwriter did) about her early life & her life in the movies in a book I think called "Child Star", which came out about 25 years ago. It was quite interesting.

Unfortunately when she turned about 21, she asked her father for an accounting of her current assets, but though she had made millions from movies, doll & clothes endorsements, etc., he reluctantly told her that there was only about $40,000 left in her trust. He seemed to have been the Master of Bad Investments.

I was never a Shirley Temple movie fan as a child, though I did like her as a teenager in the WWII-area movie "Since You Went Away".

I am sad to hear she has passed. Loved her banana curls. Alyssa loves her movies.

One of my best birthday gifts as a kid was the double album "The Shirley Temple Songbook." I still have it.

I was not quite 4 years old when Shirley Temple was born, When she started making movies, I saw every one of them, and of course I wanted to be just like her. I did take tap dancing lessons when I was 10-12, and also loved Gene Kelly's dancing.

She definitely was a lady. What do we have now. . . the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus.

Shirley was a STAR. I don't remember CELEBRITY ever being used for anyone.

There is no doubt that she does RIP.
