Thing One's wedding update
Comments (39)Guess what came in the mail today! An invitation to Nina's wedding for Thing One and FMTO. Now, she did ask me for their address, and I can't swear I ever got it to her. But she could easily get it several ways. But so what, who cares, that's not what's funny. What amuses me is that this time she got Thing One's name wrong! Remember how she hyphenated my name, even though my name isn't hyphenated, unlike my children's names, which are? Well, Thing One Doe-Smith's invitation came to Mr. Thing One Doe (she got FMTO's name right). So we came out even -- he got my name, I got his. What is strange is that Thing Two is on neither of our invitations, nor has she received one of her own (I am positive Nina does not have either Thing Two's current address in Israel or her school address for the fall). It doesn't matter, because of course none of us can attend, but it keeps things interesting. Back to Thing One's wedding ... FMTO sent me proofs of the invitations. They are lovely! They have a pretty tree at the top. What a thrill it was to see their names in the formal text. This is getting so exciting!...See MoreDr. Emu's RX for Pain
Comments (38)I found this web site today and wanted to share my experience with you. Being a nurse, I can't work if I have used narcotic pain medications. I have FM, arthritis, herniated discs and migraines. I have used Dr. Emu's Rx For Pain - Stops Pain Now, for several years. It has worked so well for my pain issues, that I have shared it with my family, the other nurses on my unit and my patients. I buy Dr. Emu's at my local health food store in West Palm Beach, FL. The toll free phone number for Dr. Emu's is on the bottle. After seeing this web site, I called and asked if they would mind me posting their phone number 1-888-537-3687. I spoke to Darrell, the owner, he said he would be happy to answer calls from anyone with questions about Dr. Emu's RX For Pain and assist with locating a retailer for his products. Retailers have Tester Bottles to try....See MoreNo idea...saving $$ on Rx
Comments (17)before Zantac was OTC, sister had a yellow lab with stomach issues. she tried to get vet to write the prescription for HER so she could use her prescription plan... joking, sorta. i had a stomach "thing" little over a year ago. came home from hospital with 2-3 prescriptions to be filled. my sister (nurse ratched) got me settled in at home and then off to get prescriptions filled. she called me from pharmacy... one of the prescriptions was almost $200... for a months worth. i told her not to get it and called doctor. medication was in a liquid form. he gave me prescription for SAME thing in these massive, chalky, "horse pills" that instantly started dissolving once they hit my tongue. not the most pleasant but $8-10 for a months worth?? needless to say, i just drink a LOT of water to get them down!...See MoreRX Frustrations (or flustrations)
Comments (28)It's very very expensive to bring a drug to market...It's not just paying for a pill. Frankly I get very tired of this sort of myopic vision.. My husband went through years of school to become a microbiologist. He makes sure that what he does makes a difference. He works with people who have extensive educations and who care enough to make sure to follow protocols so that people might be able to fight disease and live a little longer...That isn't volunteer work, either. There is equipment and supplies. There are also the drugs that DON'T make it through one of the steps in research that has to be paid for too. We are NOT wealthy. We are not rolling in it while simultaneously laughing at the stupidity of the American Public. If you think that we are, then I suggest you walk a mile in my coupon-clipping, third-hand car travelling, Walmart shopping shoes... I won't be subscribing to this thread anymore. It's so incredibly hurtful to me. So go ahead as I'm sure you will...fire away. I won't see it. Good luck to all of you who are ill. I hope you find the relief you need and I hope that some of you think about those things that others do for you that are not done out of greed....See Moremary_c_gw
