Right, the text in each column functions independently, so why does it matter that the columns go down. If you're going to print it out and don't want to see column lines, right click a column and select borders and shading, select none or change the color to white. Separate text boxes will work, but they make me more crazy than working with rows and columns.

I am an avid Scrabble player on Facebook. Love it. Like you, I have 4 to 5 games going at any given time. I think this is a relative view point. Traditionally, Scrabble is about vocabulary and tile placement. If you use the "word finders" then the game becomes more heavily weighted to the tile placement strategy. It is almost a different game. It really depends what you and the person you are playing enjoy. Everyone knows an "x" can be worth 8 points if played "straight up" or it can be worth 48 points if played on a triple in two directions. So, I would say that people who grew up playing table scrabble consider using those finder sites as cheating and they assign very negative feelings toward people who use them. Same feelings for those who use 2 and 3 word sites or lists. Others, however, play that way openly and still enjoy the game tremendously. Personally, I use the sites on occasion when I know there is something there that I just can't "see". I don't use words that I don't know though. When I don't know a word, I look it up and try to use it another time in a different game, because then the word is "mine". So hate away you traditionalists, but I am happy playing my way and the people I play with are fine too! :)

My friends keep asking me to play but I don't want to. Even though I do like Scrabble. I've heard a lot of people cheat at the game and even admit to doing it. I am SO addicted to Angry Birds though! I haven't played games like this one since Mario Brothers first came out. lol. I stopped playing when all the Nintendo controllers got complicated. Angry Birds is fun because it's not timed, and it has a lot of little secrets like Mario had. Before I got my iPad, I kept hearing about Angry Birds constantly. They even sell stuffed animals. I had no idea what the big deal was. It's a huge deal. lol. I believe it's the most popular game out there right now. There's fun strategy, too. I kind of got off topic didn't I? It's my addiction talking. :)

I always have four or five games going. The only times I haven't enjoyed it were when my opponents used one of those online programs that tell you what words to play. The result is a lot of long words no one ever heard of. I don't mine losing, but to me that's no fun. Why play if a program is playing for you? I sometimes play words I never heard of because I try this and that combination, but they're usually short. And I have most of the 2-letter words memorized. I don't use a dictionary, but one of the friends I play with does. She beats me 3/4 of the time. Good thing I'm not very competitive. :-) Maire, do you use a WWF app on your phone? When I get my tablet I'll be bugging you for a game. Right now I play via Facebook. Speaking of WWF, did you know ZA means pizza? How crazy is that? Try ordering one that way the next time you're in a pizzeria. LOL
