Vitamin 'C' for your face~~

Does anyone use it, if so how do you like it and what brand?? I hear it is great, but not sure what t does?

I've used Jason's Ester-C Creme for years. It's not greasy, but seems to provide rich moisture. The finish is more matte than shiny. It's not the only product I use, so it's hard to say what it has actually done for me. But I wouldn't want to be without it.

I usually buy it at Vitacost.com, but Amazon has it too. And other places, I'm sure.

I have been researching it~~I just started getting facials, just 2 so far. The gal and I were talking about the Vit C, she said yes it was great to use~but never mentioned what brand or when to put it on. One article I read said to use it during the day, that it works well with sunscreen, seems to help activate it??

I was telling her I do not want to have to put several things on my face, I have sensitive skin and want to be very careful what I use~~I did buy a tinted BB cream from her I really like so far (3days;) I really never realized my skin was so dry~~it is really feeling better with the BB cream.

I am going to research the Jason's I have heard of it before~~'alisande' are you the one that has a blog??

A helpful link, Digdirt, thank you. I was in a brewing store two nights ago so I just picked up some Campden tablets, which are also covered in the link. I had to laugh to see that one tablet will treat 20 gallons of water. There were 100 tabs per packet. They were cheaper than I'd thought ($3) , and it is more convenient for me to keep on hand the Campden tabs or vitamin c tabs than to buy distilled water. I've already started several batches with NO treatment for chloramine and will see how it goes. For sauerkraut in the past it worked fine, but green beans do not release their own water as easily as cabbage does, so I'm adding brine from tap water,

Sharon, I don't know what postage would be. I got a bunch of small light weight boxes that shouldn't cost much. You could pay when the box arrives. Postage is marked and my return address is on the box. Bob, i'll see what i have left over. Address the same? How's those cactus seedlings make out I sent back in 2012? The ones I kept for myself are only 12 inches high. i thought they would be bigger. but being in the house all the time must keep them small.

I wash morning and night with … They discontinued my beloved cleanser … I’d used it for 20+ yrs and am still sad … Use this sunscreen every morning … And this oil at night (I keep it the fridge) … I remove mascara with baby shampoo — I find it’s gentler and works better than other removers. I’ve started doing ice dunks (ice and water in a big bowl) in the mornings, but don’t know if it’s doing anything skin-wise. Does feel refreshing! ETA: Forgot my favorite thing … Allison recommended these years ago and I LOVE them. I use them a few times a week. She shared a great hint, too — cut them in half to get more. It leaves plenty of product. I also dermaplane my face once or twice a week, I love the smoothness and it helps make-up and products go on better.

I'm not convinced about the eye gel, but the Vit C (which I use 3-4 x a week), niacinamide, hyaluronic serum and priming moisturizer seem to work well. The prices are very reasonable, so if you want to try any of these products just to see if they'll work for you, before moving on to more expensive brands, this might be the way to go. I have been researching vitamin C in combination with Hyaluronic Acid. I decided to try one product I found on Amazon with 528 reviews giving it 4 1/2 stars.

I have to say I'm very pleased with it. My skin is softer, the rosacea is diminishing and some of the finer wrinkles are melting. It also seems to be repairing some of the sun damage on my neck and cleavage.

I'll definitely buy it again.

I think men should use something on their faces at least a nice sun screen. I would love to get my DH and DS on to some type of skin care program, just moisturizer and sun screen.
