It's still doing very well and it's interesting to see how the graft point is changing. Thanks, Otis. These were my first seedlings to germinate and experiment with. I'd trimmed the tap root on their first repotting. When they were about 3 months old I pinched the tops off and they burst out in several branchings. Thanks, Ahmed. All I did was cut the large root off that had some rot, then decided to take the other seedling, cut off one of it's large roots and join them together. My thinking is that all layers of both plants would be joined much like doing a regular grafting on top. I then wrapped it in Parafilm Grafting Tape. I haven't replanted in soil as of yet. I did place it in a plastic container to keep it dry but perhaps keep in the humidity like how people bag the grafts of branches. I'll be keeping a close eye on it. I may only leave it in there for a few short days. I was debating just letting it lay on a shelf or hang it. Fingers crossed all turns out well. Kirk

BTW, for anyone thinking about whacking their P.Afra - I ran it by Jim Smith. Basically, he confirmed that they will come back like gangbusters, growing conditions considered (he was careful to keep saying "in his growing conditions" - aka Florida). That said, he was not a fan of selective hardpruning - he said you should keep a balanced approach, i.e., prune the entire tree back hard, not a branch or two. He felt that, if you are selective, you put those branches in jeopardy, and they may not survive. Does this also apply to these techniques with crassula? Tom

She's pretty sweet, but BUSY. Very busy, but not as destructive with it as my beautiful Claire so it's not as bad. She LOVES hats and shoes and if there are any lying around (even if they aren't anywhere near her size like Jason's) she will put them on. She also has a thing for purses and with the big hats and shoes and a purse slung over her forearm she looks like someone's granny! LOL The Pooh chair isn't actually hers, it's Annie's and yes, Annie will still sit on it. At eight. :) There is a need for her to get her own and so guess what Santa's bringing? Thank goodness! She does love a few "toons" Terri. She likes Blue's Clues and Wonderpets and something we have here called Four Square. I know it's awful but it gives me time to make supper or get something done! What size pulls are those you used? They look like 8". How big are the drawers that he said needed 2 pulls? I was hoping to do all 6" pulls on my drawers. I love your hardware so much I think I am going to return my unused hardware and go with the ones you used. Another project to tackle but who's counting anymore?!? Lol. So, my largest drawers stacks are 28" wide (30 inch cabinet). If you see this could you suggest what size handle you think that would need? Thanks in advance!
