Sorry I haven't posted but....

It's been kind of a rough holiday season for me. This is the first time I have ever been alone on the holidays. It was just a year ago that Dh and I separated and all the memories (good and bad) came flooding back. I'm doing okay though. I now have Myben and she is such a joy to have with me.

Work is wonderful and I must say that I have never been happier at a job! Bosses and coworkers are wonderful and they made the holiday a little more special for me.

I am still decorating my new apartment with artwork. I did paint the entire place which made it 100% more cheery.

I still text DH every night when I get home so he knows I am ok. We haven't discussed divorce at all but we are both ok with our separate lives.

I text my sweetie everyday but I wish I could see him more often. Our schedules make it difficult but living closer to him helps.

I will be posting more often again now that the holidays are over. Just didn't feel like talking much during Christmas.

Thanks for checking in. I'm happy to hear you are doing well at your new job. Coworkers can definitely make or break your work experience.

Holidays are stressful for many of us. I for one am glad the holidays are over. It is easy to get wrapped up in expectations; the ways things were, the way you wish they were, what is actually your reality etc.

So sorry things have gotten worse. I can't imagine all the heartache. She has got to get away before he destroys her and the kids! I hope she has the strength to do it. Are the kids in emergency foster care?? I hate to ask but-"if she messes up one more time"-is that going back to Lee or is it drinking or drugs-gosh I hope not! so glad you and Brian are on the same page regarding the possibility of the kids coming to you. You will find a way to take them in and provide them the safety they so desparately need! Hope the kids get some counseling too.

I am sorry to hear that Sandie I do enjoy your beautiful rose Pics.... I dont know a lot about computer problems but have you tried to get on through Internet Explorer.. Sometimes your Anti Virus causes problems.... I had to reclick Enable Java and Enable Java script as Photobucket would not let me put a pic on...Have you got on to the Help up the top....Have you defrag....Have you error checked...what about cleaning out your cookies...I dont know if these are any help but you never know.....And as Marion said put a post on the Computer Forum..... Cheer..MM.

so glad the job is going well...our friend in vegas used to say it was like one big family...with the holidays over wonder if the casino will slow down a bit? have you had any if the crazy weather?

I've been thinking about you, glad you posted. I'm sorry things have been rough, holidays seem do that. Thankfully Myben came into your life at the right time. Nothing like a furbaby and your sweetie to help lift your spirits.

Good to hear from you. We have had several people in our family go through a divorce, unfortunately. In most cases, you have to treat it like a death, because that part of your life is over.

I'm glad you have Myben, I think our pets truly do help us through tough times more than we know. They can tell when you're sad or sick or worried.

Good luck to you.

Our holidays were bittersweet, too. DS#1 got married this year to a real nice girl, so we had her with us this Christmas. However, DS#2 got divorced so that was hard. He has a 3-year-old son so we had to deal with sharing him for the holidays. We had to have our Christmas AFTER December 25. That was a bit difficult for us, but it will get better, we hope.

I read somewhere that a mother can only be as happy as her UNhappiest child. That may be true.

Sometimes we just don't feel like 'talking', holidays or not, & one of the beauties of single life is that...
if we don't wanna, we don't hafta.

It does sound like things are shaping up-
A good job is so fulfilling,
& pets make the world go round.
& I'm a firm believer in the mood-enhancing qualities of paint, too.
