Singer in Winter Jeep Commercial

My mother, the non-computer-user, has asked me to find out who the beautiful tenor is in this commercial. I googled but cannot find his name. The song is "Winter Warm" but there are no credits listed for the singer, only the composers. It seems there are more people wondering about this as I came upon a website that is a kind of forum with lots of people trying to figure this out. Any guesses?

I don't have any guesses. I searched for over 30 minutes and I probably know nothing more than when I started. Hmmmm...the information super highway isn't working so well on this one. Good luck.

I have been trying to to find the singer too with no luck.I did find a site where Burt Bacharach performed the music at one time but no evidence that he sang it.Maybe it is him??

Well, I guess we can't complain much about the weather, or neighbors to the north and west have had it so bad. We've had a snow/slush mix for several days, only accumlation is on the deck, and windbreaks in the pasture. Horses decided they needed a different pasture, so the onery one just pushed her bulk against the gate till it gave way.Only benefit is, they dont want hay now. On another forum , a poster in N.Y said she was still paying 1.00 per square bale. Did you get your stitches out, Gldno? Did everyone have a nice Christmas? Its so nice to see new posters, and former ones coming back, missed you even if I dont know you personally, keep posting. Do you like a journal type entry? William, I'm in trouble!! The site I mentioned Gary Ibsens Tomato Fest, wants a 15.00 order!! Do you know how many tomato seeds that would be?? And I SIMPLY MUST have San Marzeno Redorta, and Long Tom, so guess I'll be adding to storage seeds. And then!!LOL--did you see Tangerine Mama in Burpees? Yes, my name is-------- and I'm addicted to growing, tomatoes especially. And, Hope springs eternal, I'm going to try yellow, purple, and green cauliflower again--just not so much. I cut my garden down some last year, told myself that at my age, I didnt need so much--but myself dont listen to me in the spring!! I find myself admiring how well the beds are looking, with the leaves mounded over them. Gldno, I read another Catherine Coulter book yesterday, F.B.I series, the sheriff finally found his wife (from a previous book) It was "Double Take". I've also read James Patterson's "Quickie" and Sandra Browns "Play Dirty" With all this mixture falling from the sky, its either gaze wistfully out the window at the garden, or curl up by the fire with a good book--or a seed catalog. Got territoral yesterday, Havent gotten Baker Creek, despite complaining, so guess they wont get a order. Oh, and I must tell you about my Christmas Turkey!! It was PURPLE!! I was ready to put it in the oven when I noticed under the skin, the entire bird was purple! It didnt have a off smell, just like a raw turkey, so I apprehensively went ahead and cooked it. When it came out, it did have a off odor, so it was buried deep. No, really, I didnt cook Barney, as some suggested. Good thing we were going to daughters for dinner. Everyone stay safe for the New Yesr.

I have more canned fruit and vegetables than I need. I always have lots of canned tomatoes and pasta because I enjoy casseroles. My freezer seldom has anything in it. When I hear a nasty weather forecast I check to see if I need any of the following: *Gallons of store brand "spring" water--my well water, even though treated with an expensive and sophisticated system is too terrible for human taste and I also give bottled water to the cats because my well water is so high in minerals. The dogs live in a kennel and drink untreated well water as long as I have power and the well pump can run. *Dog and cat food *Peanut butter *Milk Half+Half and coffee *Tea *Diet Coke *Bread *Eggs *Cherrios and bananas *Fresh meat *Real white American cheese and sandwich meat *Celery, carrots, onions and potatoes *Lots of gas for the snow blower *Batteries *A good book *Very important--all my daily medications. I am on a TON of meds and allowing some to lapse for more than a day could be very unhealthy for me. We get plenty of snow here, but the worst potential problem is loss of power that has, in the past, lasted for more than a week. Fortunately, that was before I moved out to the country. Around here, it doesn't matter what vehicle it is, it is the drivers. Male, female, young, old, doesn't matter. Those who have 4x4's don't always bother to read the owner's manual to find out that 4x4's are useless on ice. Everyone now expects the roads to all be perfectly clear and dry, no matter the weather. They think it is their right to drive as fast and as erratically as they always do. I was taught to drive by my dad, who worked for the county road crews. I learned very well how to drive in snowy weather! AND when to stay off the roads. We never had 4x4s and I don't now. My kids do, but know that it won't save them on ice, and DS learned that ice and high winds can get you when you don't expect it, when you have had the wind blocked by trees, then enter open areas! He quickly found out where the ditch was with no warning. Thankfully, he was not injured. And he learned to drive in almost blizzard conditions. I have driven a SUV since 2000. Believe me, unless you have a heavy load in the back end, they don't handle well on bad roads. All of the weight is in the front where the engine is. Same for pickup trucks. It isn't the size of the vehicle. It is always the driver. Speaking of little red sports cars...Several years ago, in a moderate snow storm, we were on our way to my parent's house, where I grew up. I know the road in those conditions, and was driving accordingly. Guess what passed us way too fast? Yep, little red sports car. Younger driver, though not a teenager. We no sooner said someone is going to end up in a ditch, and another mile up the road, that is exactly where he had ended up. As to stopping, don't get me started. On ANY roads. I pull a trailer. I drive a 30' motor home. How many of those here drive a semi or other large heavy vehicle? WE CAN NOT STOP ON A DIME!!!! Do you have any idea how many times a small car has pulled out in front of me/us with maybe 500' between us, or less? That weight PUSHES you, no matter how hard you are standing on the brake pedal. Would you cross in front of a train like that? I hope not. If it out weighs you by a factor of 10, don't do it! But give me a bigger vehicle any time over a small one. At least I have a little more vehicle around me for protection.

Yes...at my husband’s firm, many of the junior consultants returned to their parent’s home to quarantine. And our college son came home mid-March, and won’t be going back until the end of August (God willing...I pray the case counts go down in his college state! He needs aNd wants to get back to campus!) I am sooooo glad that our house has a rear entry garage from a private alley....it’s a 3 car garage so our parking pad/driveway is nice and wide. Dh & I park in the garage, and thankfully there is room for the kids’ 2 cars to park in the driveway without anyone having to move cars. Our neighborhood only allows side or rear entry garages...if ours was a side entry, at least one would have to park in the street! Although I do feel like a car lot when both kids are home. 😂 Lots of college and young adult kids are back in our hood that usually aren’t here...many more cars.

Thanks for trying, gals-- how nice of you! I just have no idea; maybe I'll have to write to Jeep and see if they can help me. My mom, (silly girl,) called a Jeep dealer in her city and posed her question. I think they thought she was nuts after they finally understood what she was asking.

I found the ad (link below), and he does have a beautiful voice. I've searched around and haven't figured it out yet. Kind of sounds like Vic Damone, but it's not. I would guess it's somebody from the 50s, but several modern-day performers sing the classic jazz too.

The song is composed by John Cavacas and Hal David.

The link below will take you to the info you want to know. It will direct you to the whole song from the "In The Christmas Swing" album.

It shows the link, but it skipped a menu. Under "Libraries and Cover Art", select Bruton (BRU), then select "Main Library (BR). On the menu to the right, scroll down to BR 430.

Well,I scoured the site that nnt_hou posted and still can't find the song.I found that site last night also and looked for an hour and didn't find anything referring to the vocalist.Am I missing something?

It appears that RPM music is a commercial venture.... servicing clients....

probably an "in house" singer, if this wasn['t a commercially released song...

I'm sorry for not being clear. That website is a bit tricky and although, you can play the whole song, it doesn't show who is the singer. Even, if you right mouse click to get information, it doesn't say much who's the singer.

After posting my reply, I did look up a bit further and found this out. Bruton is the recording company which is located in England. At one time this company was purchased by Michael Jackson and he sold it after 3 yrs.

So basically, if you want to know the artist, you may need to buy the whole album "In The Christmas Swing" or write to Bruton Production and find out who's the artist.

Btw, if you listen to the whole song, you can tell that the singer has a bit of an English accent.

I'm currently looking into see how to do an audio recording so I could save the whole song in the computer.

If I find some more info, I'll post it.

My bad, I skipped the last step, maybe that's why some of you couldn't get to the song.

When you get to BR 430 "In The Christmas Swing", below you will see several icons. Click on the 3rd icon that looks like a glass magnifier. You will see all the songs from that album and the first one listed is Winter Warm.

To play it, check the box next to #1. Then click on the Play icon below the list of the songs.

To further confuse us......Hal David also co-wrote another song called Winter Warm with composer Burt Baccarach in 1957....recorded initially by Gale Storm.....completely different lyrics. Sure hope someone finds out who this fella is.........nice song......
