Ahahahaaa!!! Old Fixer, my hubby is so near and dear to my heart. He SITS when he goes, and nothing ever sprays/splashes all over the place. Yaaayyyy!!!

On the other hand, I clean at a Legion twice per month and the men's toilet and urinals are smelly, and stinky with stains. It splashes from the urinals onto the walls and dribbles over the front. Peeeyewwww

Guess, you haven't been in a "ladies" room? It's amazing how messy they are. Puddles, not flushed, tp on the floor! NASTY!

The 'ladies' who sprinkle on the seat because they don't want to sit down and then leave their mark for the next person are pretty nasty too.

I used the men's room at Bloomingdale's once. It was disgusting.

There was long line to the ladies, and no one in the men's, so I used it. I did ask some lady to watch the door.

Ya know that little rug that lays down in front of the 'bowl'....it's wet just a couple of days after being put there. Who???ME???? The older these boys, the less they pay attention. It gets washed and sits in the laundry room waiting until cleaning day... but then I notice a hand towel in the hamper a few times..... at least my feet don't get wet! I sure liked having my own bathroom.... now we share (because we need handles to help us up) and DS (our housekeeper) uses and keeps the front bath sparkling.(Don't tell anyone I shared this!!!!)

I grew up in a family with four boys and peeing all over the place was NOT allowed. As a matter of fact, cleanng the bathrooms was one of their chores. I've never been around boys or men who missed the mark.

UNTIL some very dear friends came to visit my first husband and I after we moved from VA to SC. We all had to share a bathroom and the first time I stepped into his mess with my bare feet, I stopped loving that man as a dear friend!

I put a roll of paper towels in the bathroom and they were used, I suspect by his wife and not him.

I have zero tolerance for that kind of nastiness and utter disrespect for others. I still remember my dad giving my little brother aiming lessons, lol.

Bless my husband's heart, he has never once left a mess for me to clean up.

When we had a gas station along the interstate in FL, the men's room was usually cleaner than the ladies' room. I've cleaned up messes in the ladies' room that NO ONE should have had to deal up. Anyone who makes a mess like some I dealt with, should have at least attempted to clean it up themselves. So gross.

It faces the corridor that you seen right into the men's restrroom.

Have informed owners, but they say health restrictions require them to open the door a certain way, thus you see all. Sigh

Many places/functions also have the Port-A-Pots to conveniently serve your needs. While not always the most pleasant place to visit, some people seem to feel a need to make it even more disgusting.

Some years ago, following my divorce, while visiting a family who'd been my parishioners till a short time earlier, and near Christmas, for some reason we got on the subject of bathroom etiguette ... and the lady, who had a husband and a couple of grown sons, said that she'd read the riot act to them, years earlier ...

... they either sat down to pee ...

... or were in charge of cleaning the bathroom.

I remember posting on here some time ago about civilized men sitting down to pee.
