Hi all didn't want to hijack sleeperblues post but it got me to wonder what does your local vet charge for DOG's (cause that's what I have)
What's your state/ province general local
For visit ?
For vaccine standard vaccines and rabies?
For spay or neuter ? difference between adults and juvenile
and anesthesia for procedures
In my neck of the province Ont a spay can cost 800 to a 1000 for adult female Young males 250-350
a visit is around 60-80
vaccines 80 and up.
If you require and anesthesia/ sedation for any procedures your looking anywhere from 400 and up just for anesthesia the procedure is on top of that.
Blood work will run you well over a 100
My lab who tends to swallow first and think later started to act strange my stomach sank. Set aside the worry of a sick dog my brain started to add up the cost of a vet visit. Visit 80- but it was after hours so tack on another 50-80. Xrays, 100, sedation for Xrays 100, contrast for x rays 80, surgery anesthesia, fluids antibiotics, pain meds, overnight stay at vets, cone, 1000 plus tax so I'd be looking in around 1500 range. So very lucky he settled down and what ever it was that upset his stomach passed PHEW! How much does your vet cost? thanks
