More snow fell overnite and we had windy periods. There were lots of accidents from ice and blowing snow.

I did some baking today2 loaves of honey whole-wheat bread and an apple pie, and did some shovelling.
Hubby got a call from a girl who sings in a band. Her drummer lives in a different city and can't get in because of the roads, so hubby is subbing for him tonite.

Dinner consisted of pork chops in an orange juice, brown sugar and ginger sauce, mashed potatoes and green beans.

I'm having pie now, with my tea.

Ooooh, waiting to hear about that pie. It sure looked good! Hope DH doesn't have any problems on the road tonight.

We're going basic tonight...hot dogs with my cole slaw, homemade beans. Not the healthiest dinner, but that's okay.

Started out this morning snowing pretty hard. Then we got a break for a few hours. When it came back mid-afternoon, it came back with a vengeance.........heavy snow fall and lots of blowing/blizzard like snow. I won't cry when this weather is over.

My meal was a hot ham and cheese sandwich and a bowl of soup. Very comforting and warming.

Tempura zucchini and mushrooms, steamed rice and Asian marinade grilled chicken. On my way to pick up my son who has finally gotten to see more than two inches of snow on the ground. Where he went has at least two feet of snow. He's been skiing and tubing today. Can't wait to hear if he got his fill of winter wonderland finally!

I wanted Tony's junk yard dog, but apparently everyone else did too.

I finally went to Long John Silver's and order two pieces of fish.

Long list of things to do before travels next weekend, so I was out and about on this windy, but pretty afternoon.

Well I just heated some left overs and fried some hotdogs..

Not making dinner tonight. Lol

Rhizo, you eat pretty healthy most of the time and, besides, that hot dog sounds mighty good! Enjoy!!

Shirley, you described your weather so well I got chilly :-) But your dinner would warm anyone's tummy.

Rob333, your dinner sounds delicious. I tried frying veggies in tempura batter once and the batter all fell off. I don't know if my grease wasn't hot enough or batter too thin. Just remember being sad I didn't get my tempura broccoli!! Your son will be full of adventure stories to tell you and--I don't think kids ever get tired of the snow.

Glenda, you'll be cruisin' before you know it. Sorry you didn't get the dinner you wanted, but LJS isn't a sorry second.

Terri, it's so unusual to read that you're having leftovers. I wouldn't think you'd have any with all those big, hungry boys around. Glad for you that you did, though. Momma deserves a night off!

Left-over wild rice casserole.....sort of an ad-lib affair but very tasty. Then a brownie (or two) for dessert.

Well we actually had left overs twice this week. I did have to "cook" fried rice..

My husband asked "Are we done with leftovers now?" Lol

Tomorrow will be "fresh" meals again.

We were out doing some shopping and decided to go to the big seafood buffet. The crab legs were great so was everything else.

Phyllis, I love wild rice. Just wish it wasn't so costly. I usually make chicken and wild rice soup, but I'd love your casserole recipe. I have two cups of rice cooked in the freezer waiting for something yummy!

Terri, with your meal planning, it would be nice to fix a little extra and have leftovers for the weekends--voila! No cooking on your days off.

Raven, a whole seafood buffet? It must be in heaven!!

Yesterday was DH's birthday. We went to a Brazilian steak house, which was delicious!
