Yeah for you. We also watch it most nights and some of the time I'm glad that no one is listening if I get the answer wrong. lol But I'm proud when I do answer it correctly. Sometimes its just me and the dog.

Does the dog give you an appreciative bark when you answer correctly ... or, heaven forbid, a nip when you don't?

And don't worry too much if you get one wrong ... those who are perfect ... may be hard to live with ... or so I've heard.

My oldest sister used to watch it all the time. There used to be a handheld game board she could play along with the show. Her and her husband would have a competation. They loved it!!

No the silly dog just lays there wagging her tail. She doesn't care if I get it right or wrong. lol If I get wrong I feel I've learned something new.

Joe and I watch it every evening. We shout out the answers. I shout more than he does, LOL. I usually get a lot right. Not bragging! I want to try out for the show but they only offer the test to Canadians a couple of times a year. The next time it is online I'm going to do it.

The show comes on here at 4:30 PM. That's when I turn on my TV.

My husband used to root for me. He thought I should try out for the show. I always told him I'd probably be tongue -tied and make an a-- of myself.

Now that I watch it alone it's not so much fun.Such is life when you get to be an old lady.

I fulfilled a bucket list item today--went to Sony{{gwi:807}} Studios to see a taping of two shows. It was just wonderful!! They'll air in Match.

.......and I know the answer to so many, but can't think of the word needed! So that wouldn't be so great, would it?

We watch it nightly & compete. If DH happens not to be here it's not as much fun.

I say the answers out loud much of the time, too, even though no one can hear me. I'm pretty good, although like Phyllis, my recall on some of the answers isn't as fast as it was when I was younger. Jeopardy used to have a seniors tournament. I don't know why they dropped it.

I think the show has changed over the years. The questions used to be harder, and Final Jeopardy used to be easier. Years ago, even if I didn't know the Final Jeopardy answer I could make an accurate guess from the information given in the clue.

Yay! That's my favorite, when I know the answer and they don't. I know it's easier on the couch, but still...

My son and I compete by seeing who says the answers first. I can't believe a 15 year can sometimes know answers that none of the contestants or I know?! When we first starting competing (many years ago), I would try to coach him and say, "Just say whatever comes to mind; quite often your gut is right", and "It's not like you'll lose anything, try!". Now, he kicks my rear!!! I hope he gets on there some day.

We watch it when we're not working. We both enjoy it.

Every night! We give each other the thumbs up if we get the answers right, Ken always gets "Aleve" right :) But we never remember to say "Who is" or "What is". Not quick enough!

I think you're right. the questions used to be harder than they are now - is that a case of 'dumbing down'? I also yell the answer, but the dog doesn't care; he just looks up at me questioning my sanity. I'm so sorry there is no one around to hear when I get Final Jeopardy right and none of the contestants do.
I think I'd do really well on the show as long as there wasn't a category about contemporary culture. I've never heard of even 10% of the singers, bands and movie stars in the questions.

I watch every night. Love it when I get the final Jeopardy answer and the contestants do not. My last dog hated Jeopardy. She would be sound asleep in her bed by my side and as soon as Jeopardy came on, her head would pop up, she would turn around and give me a dirty look and get up and leave the room. She would be gone exactly 1/2 hour and then she would come back. It would happen every single night without fail. At 7:30 I would watch from the corner of my eye and she never disappointed me. It cracked me up.

That is such a funny story Georgysmom! LOL

Always watch Jeopardy here. I am always blown away by how much general knowledge my dh has in his head. We both come up with many right answers, but he is much smarter than me. He quit school in the 10th grade to work and help out at home. That is as far as his formal education went.

We also watch Wheel of Fortune. Dh is a whiz at that too!
