Have smoked salmon left over from Smoked Salmon Caesar Salads last night.
Will add a can of salmon to that and make Salmon Burgers for dinner tonight.

Paw Paw Patch home style cooking for chicken fried steak and milk gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, slice Mexican corn bread

Same as last night, dinner is from a big pot of beans (flageolet and a cup of pinto tossed in for color when I soaked them) with garlic, onions, celery and the last of the holiday ham I had frozen. They really were very good. I'm going to make a mixed green salad to go with, add some almonds and a few dried chopped cranberries to the salad.

I'm portioning up some of the beans and ham now to freeze. And I called my former neighbor, just released from the hospital Saturday night (pneumonia) to see if she wanted some and she said yes, but to freeze those too, she has food there and planned for the next couple of days and would like to enjoy them later.

oh you made me hungry for that shrimp chowder!

I have a couple of nice salmon steaks stuffed with crab meat stuffing, will drizzle with a little lemon butter sauce and stick them in the oven, have a big baked potato to split between us and a little spinach and blue cheese crumbles salad.

I made cabbage rolls today and am pairing them up with some perogies, probably some peas and carrots for balance.

Today was hubby's 6-month cancer checkup from having his prostate removed. Thankfully, it's clean, and also that it's brutally cold and sunny today so the roads were dry and easy traveling.

We just had hot-beef sandwiches from Sunday's roast beef. With leftover potatoes

We were going to go out for dinner tonight but remembered that Wine and Dine is tomorrow night so we decided to eat at home. I played bridge today and since I was planning on dinner out, I just took out a bag of Manhattan clam chowder from the freezer. That's dinner tonight. It's cold, cold, cold here so a bowl of soup will be most welcome!

add me to the noodles group, only did tuna and peas and white sauce...I love one pot meals...

I believe it was -17 this morning. I only left the house tonight to get my sister for dinner here. We had scallopini Marsala, spaghetti with garlic and oil and salad. I have been boiling my ham bone with onions, carrots and celery in hopes of making our first bean soup tomorrow. Jas, I am happy to hear your hubby had a clean check up. Yeah! How are the eyes?

He doesn't wear glasses at all. People are always surprised that he doesn't need them anymore.

He was at a gig recently and one of the band-mates was hooking up the speakers and sound system. His told hubby that he "needed his new eyes" as he couldn't read the cables.

We stopped at Arby's after leaving the hospital. I had their big King's Hawaiian fish sandwich. It was pretty good.

I just put a Quiche in the oven....gosh I hope it turns out o.k. DH wanted one from Costco, and they are good, but loaded with salt, so.....doing one. Never have before.

I made fish tacos with some crappie from the freezer , something we've been having fairly often. Tastes so good, spicy and crunchy.
