It is really snowing here this afternoon and rather chilly and getting colder I think. How is your weather today where you are?

We have been getting snow flurries off and on and some strong wind gusts. The temperature is in the mid 20s. I am in for the day, watching college basketball and have split pea soup in the crockpot.

Last week we were supposed to get a lot of snow (at least 8 inches). We got 4-5". Today we were supposed to get a "dusting". It has been snowing for hours now. I measured it and 30 min. ago and it was 2 1/2" and is supposed to snow heavier later in the day. I have been listening to my police scanner on my Kindle Fire and there are property damage accidents all over town because the roads are slick. Cars in ditches, etc. I only have to drive 3 blocks to get to my volunteer job at the hospital.

It is up to 64 now at 12:30. Partly sunny at times and breezy yet. I planted more radishes and some carrots in the garden and also pulled up the first five radishes out of my garden. That variety is French Breakfast. I am going to have them for lunch. The radishes I planted today are Crimson Globe. The carrots were Danver's Half Long. The day is getting better. Beautifully bright and clear--but a tad warm. Upper 80's (I'd gotten used to our lovely 70's for the past week). But it was a nice day none-the-less. DD came for breakfast, then one of her friends met her and they went to the Amish market while I got lunch together. After, friend had to leave because she had errands and then she and her husband were going out to dinner for their anniversary. DD and I went halloween decoration shopping. Didn't buy too much for inside, but got cornstalks, gourds and a pumpkin for outside. Once we were down to the 2 of us, DH and I had a nice dinner out on the deck.

Crisp and sunny here today. We got a lot done outside. Emptied the rain barrel and turned it upside down for the winter. Cleaned up gardens and cut the lawn (hopefully for the last time) and cleaned out gutters and did some chalking. Now we've just the leaves to deal with. A perfect Fall day!

Today has been C O L D. High of 17. Got a little snow last night and they say we'll get more tonight. I think Sue in Indiana is sending some of her snow my way.

Beautifully warm and sunny here, blue skies and 79 degrees. But dry dry dry. 4" of rain all last year and none so far this year.

St. John's, Newfoundland:

Foggy,a bit of drizzle and 3ÃÂºC (37ÃÂºF) - but no wind!!! We rarely have calm days, it's always windy. I went out for a short walk. Most of our snow has melted although there is some ice on the paths. But it was so nice to get out and not be freezing.

Hot by mid day but pleasantly cool at night. We see a spread of 40 degrees between the daily low and high.

We have sunshine here in So. Oregon and it is creeping up on 45 degrees at 3 pm. Sacramento, Ca has 70.... Would rather have that, but it's 200 miles south.

Cold and windy--33 Above! but dropping next week. No new snow yet but maybe Monday as another Alberta cliipper is expected
