I didn't see the broken piece until pic was snapped. It's removed. Stapeliad is a succulent, not related to Epi's, right? Its leaves, (what I see) resemble Epis.. Mentha, #2 is definately Cryptocereus, common name Ric Rac Cactus. I'll take your word for #5. lol. I'll Google 'Rhipsalis grandiflora pictures.' Nan, Googled Monadenium ellenbeckii..it's hard to tell. Pic 3. Went to WP's site..he has the Hot Dog/Candle Plant available..4.00..It's marked Kleinia (Senecio) Articulata (US) Can Senecio be an Epi? Pic 4. Found Mistletoe Cactus on Accents site, but the pic differs from mine. Googled, MC, several pics popped up, different varieties. Mike looks like Rhapsalis. Did a Search for Pic 8 on WP's, after typing Cucumber Plant, it directed me to Accents nursery, where the plant was purchased. It's marked Cissus, Cumcumber Plant. #5 was sent as a leaf from someone on GW. lol No idea. #6 Dragon's Fruit. Mentha, yep, Hylocereus. Is DF an Epi? #7 was purchased at BlackJungle. Mentha, you're saying there are two different plants in one pot? Great. Should they be separated? I don't have Pumice, Turface, aquatic soil (gravel?) or LECA. What's their purpose? Any substitutes? Should Epis be grown similar to orchids? If so, I have required ingredients, except large bark. Pic 3 and 8, Cissus. Both plants sprout leaves..Foliage started growing the last couple weeks. Leaves may not be noticable on the pics but they're there. Karen, all succulents are in south and west windows. Two grow lights run several hours per day and night. As for soil, those in 4" plastic square and 2-4" plastic round are original pots and soil. I know, they need repotting. Shame on me! I'll get to it today. I don't use peat in succulents & cactus mix. Any peat you see was potted by the sellers. Nan, the Cissus has grown a lot. I'm not sure of its age, but when it was shipped it was no larger than 5-6" tall. It didn't hang at all, foliage was semi-erect. Cissus grew longer, but two years ago I removed a few sections, rooted, to make compact. If it hadn't been for that, there'd be two, long hanging stems/cucumbers..lol. Karen, this winter was cloudier then the last three put together..Thankfully, days are growing longer, but it's still cloudy, despite the time of year. While I have a few moments, I want to wish ALL of you dear friends a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday time. We will have a white Christmas, also, as we received 14 inches of snow about 10 days ago. Right now we are expecting another freezing rain/sleet/snowstorm/blizzard from now til Saturday. Plans are on hold waiting to see what happens as far as any travel. Our son and daughter-in-law are to come this evening from St. Cloud, but time will tell. Twill be the first time we have seen them since their wedding in September. Melissa, we also got a new Lab. But HE is a baby. Weened and cute, cute, cute! HE(I have a hard time saying that since almost all of our pets have always been SHE)is a cross of lab and blue heeler. He is all black except his tummy and the tip of his tail is frosty-colored. She is a great companion for Lady our SHE dog. Can't decide whether to call him Tramp or Buddy.Finally a dog that will use a dog house! Maybe Lady will get the idea and start to use the other one. Lady refuses to use a doghouse, go in the garage, etc. Obviously something happened in her past that makes her afraid of those places. So she just lays out in the elements year-round. Hubs is cutting wood for the fireplace. I am baking and listening to Christmas music. What a life! ME

Thank you for your comments, JoAnn. Ove is obviously not your kind of book. I too am a picky reader and sometimes have trouble appreciating books that others have found fascinating. But there are lots of books to choose from for every reading preference. In fact, I'm thinking of featuring the Readers' Bill of Rights some week, where one of the points is that no one has to finish a book that they don't like.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm going to save them for the next trip. I'm reading Snow Falling on Cedars now for one of the book clubs I'm in, but I have a feeling I've read this story before. I just can't remember what happens. Also reading another book club book March, about the father of the Little Women girls. My last trip I got a Clive Cussler book on CD, I think Flamingo recommended awhile ago. I liked the story ok but the narrator's voice got on my nerves-lol. Today I got another cd book: So Cold the River by Michael Koryta, listened for the drive home and it sounded really interesting. I also picked up a book in the new section: The Sea Garden by Marcia Willett, and then a book I saw a patient of mine reading last year: Killing Rommel by Steven Pressman and the last book I got was Black Creek Crossing in the horror section of paperbacks by John Saul...an author I hadn't read since high school. Don't have television right now so I have lots of time to read. ( :
