Do you have a Kirkland store near you?

I just read one is opening in the open mall just down the road a few miles. I'd never heard of it so I googled it. It seems like it may be like Home Goods, but I've never been to a Home Goods either. I'd like your opinion on the quality of the things they sell and if you think the prices are decent. It looked like a fun place to shop--at least window shop.

I don't think we have a Kirkland's Patti. There is a Home Goods in Noblesville but I did not think much of it. Only went in one time.

The only Kirkland I'm aware of, is Costco's brand. Is that what the store is?

Do you have planning laws in the USA that prevent you from having sheds?Here in the UK we ALL have sheds.My Victorian house has outbuildings and I have built a workshop ,on my Dad`s advice, as near to the house as possible.This minimises the distance between house and tools when doing jobs in the house and garden.As it is on the grid it also reduces the amount of wiring.As far as I can see Zone 1 is down to you .That which you visit most you put nearest to hand.In your system that could be what another puts in Zone 3.The rules are there to give you ideas ,but rules are to be broken!Permaculture is not exactly conventional,therefore you must think for yourself .

I bought two armless slipper type chairs from WM and they are fine quality for the price. I needed the seating when I was hosting a large party and thought I could use them in a bedroom afterwards, but I like them so well and they look so good that I made room for them in my living room. They really are only used when I have guests and I'm very careful to keep my grandson from having food or milk or sticky fingers near them because I doubt they will hold up too well against those things. They are covered in a microfiber and I'm just unsure if it would spot clean too well. They were on sale and I got an extra 30% off because they were floor samples. I bought some beautiful coordinating pillows for them, too. I also love the international food selection and the inexpensive wine selection is good, too. The have great greeting cards and wrapping items. I've bought a few little toys, too, some I've not seen anywhere else. I'm not sure if I'd drive hours to visit one, but it's a good all around import store in our area.

I was in Lowe's a few days ago and kinda got carried away at the seed rack. If I get all of these seeds started I have no idea where I will put them all. Can you get "kinda" carried away. Nope, got completely carrier away. Ha ha amunk01, I need to take a little trip up to TLC and just wander around for a half a day. I will come out with a load of cactus and houseplants which I do not need. But I think I will schedule that trip any way. Ha ha i am not kidding when I tell you guys I donot need any more indoor plants. I watered everything a few days ago and it took 4 hours to finish. I live in a jungle. I am afraid to count them, I think I would faint. Denial is everything, right???? If I divided half of them that needed it, I could open a nursery. I could call it " Crazy Gardener Nursery", right, good name.

Chisue, I was not completely truthful on the disclaimer when asked if I had shoulder or back trouble....only said I had some arthritis...but honestly, my joints did not seen to be affected.... there is a very strong force against your body, but no more painful than every other day. Go in and watch others doing it and decide for yourself if you want to try it...sure is fun and different than anything I had ever done before!

OH yes it is a very nice store. I love to go through Kirklands. I don't often buy a lot but they do have very nice stuff. I think there are Kirklands all over Texas and in Louisiana for sure. Lots of decorative items and art pieces, some furniture, and home goods.

The two stores (Kirkland's and Home Goods) and like night and day. Don't compare the two.

Kirkland's has a broad selection of items but I find their prices are high. They have mostly decorative items and art items with some furniture and kitchen items, as raven stated. I guess you can call them a mid-scale decorating store.

Note this Kirkland's store is not related in any way to Costco's Kirkland brand. Not one bit.

I'll check it out. I'm looking for a mirror to go on the wall above my server in the dining area. Wish/hope we get a Home Goods soon, too.

Jasdip--I forgot Kirkland's is also a brand sold at Costco. :-)

Kirklands is definately a place to buy home decorations and you should see lots of mirrors, candles, framed pictures, tabletop knick-knacks and such.
I have never found a lot to my personal liking. My style leans to primitive/rustic. Kirklands I find to be more bold colors, (reds, brown golds) and oversized. Lots of tassles, bigs frames, throw pillows....faux antiqueing.

We have a Kirklands here. My GF and I love to cruise through it, we have each bought stuff there and we like it;)

They have cute stuff, but it's mainly made in China. I only buy there as a last resort.

I like Kirklands. But one nearest to me closed few years back. Miss it!

No we don't have a Kirkland any where near us. Matter of fact we don'e even have a mall near us.

I agree with deesÃ¢ÂÂ¦.no comparison between Kirklands and Home Goods. When redoing my bathroom, a friend said Kirklands was a good place to go for mirrors. As it turned out, I didn't need to buy them because my mirrors were custom-made.

We have Kirklands down here in Houston...it used to be my favorite home decor store. But, for the last couple of years I have not found much at all in my local store that I'd consider purchasing. So much of it looks sorta gaudy or cheap to me. I can find much nicer stuff at Hobby Lobby!

There are Kirkland's in PA. I like Kirkland's, a lot of things in my house are from there. Used to be one in a mall in Altoona, which is an hour from me, and they CLOSED it! SIL and I were very upset. Her whole house is Kirkland's, haha.

I know there's one in the Hagerstown, Md. Outlets also. That's a 2 hour drive for us so we don't get there often.
