My Dr's office has those in the xray area~~I kept going around and around trying to figure out how to put it on. It was comfy and kinda cute~~not sure where you would get a pattern, sorry.

You can always use two gowns....one covers the front, one covers the back...I have done this.

or ask before going...they always have ones for me...

Type into Google "pattern for three sleeve hospital gown" and there are a bunch of suggestions and pattern instructions. I would post the site address but don't know how to do that so it shows up correctly.

You can buy them ready made. Maybe you could buy one and turn it into a pattern.

When you get to the location where the pattern is, move your cursor to the top of the page, where here you find "ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load... " etc., left click on it, to highlight it, then press ""Ctrl"and "c" at the same time.

Then go to the place here on Kitchen Table where you're writing a post, and when you have it written and ask for "Preview", as you check it in preview you'll find that a couple of boxes have appeared there, one for "URL", so you'll left click there, then press "Ctrl" and "v" at the same time, and the address that you've highlighted for the pattern page will appear there.

Then you write a short description of the link that you've added there in the box for description.

When doing supply teaching years ago, I'd tell the kids to learn words and their meanings, for it will add to your reputation, and likely help you get farther in life, if you can move an idea that's formed in your head, by means of language, and sometimes hand and body language, or writing or drawing, into the head of another pretty well identically to the way it appeared in your head. A fairly wide vocabulary and precision in the use of language helps a good deal in achieving that purpose.

Ask the doctor's office if you can take a gown home to make a pattern from and then return it. They probably have a worn out one somewhere that they'll give you. Just cut the pattern as big as you need it, using brown paper such as mailing paper.

I made that wrap dress in the '60's.......loved it!

That was nice of you Ole Joyful, but the minute I have to read directions my mind shuts down and they might as well be in Greek, so thanks anyway. For the little bit of sewing I did, my husband explained the directions to me and after he passed away my 3 daughters took over. I can still see my 12 y.o. sitting on the front steps reading the directions and putting a charcoal grill together.

Mary, I can't read instructions, either - they are Greek to me, too. I always have to ask someone else to put something together for me.

I found out that the hospital has larger gowns, so I just ask for one. I do like those wrap around ones, though. One of the imaging centers I used had them.

I don't recall the pattern number but there is also an apron pattern offered by one of the main pattern companies that is just what you describe....

Simplicity 5201 is the pattern I was talking about...It is sleeveless but you could cut it with dolman/batwing type sleeves without any effort...
