Do you have an alternate energy supplier?

I'm not sure if I used the correct term . . . I'm talking about buying your electricity from a source other than the usual one in your area. In my case, PPL (Pennsylvania Power & Light) supplied our electricity for years, but when the field opened up to other suppliers, I signed up with another company.

The plan I've been on for two years charges more per KWH than PPL, but there's no charge for electricity used between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. It took a bit of an adjustment to get used to running the dishwasher and laundry machines after 7:00, but this arrangement has worked well for me and I've been pleased with my power bills.

One of the perks of the first contract was a $50 credit card. I notice they're not offering one with my renewal. Maybe I'll try asking for one.

Anyone else doing something different with their electricity?
