OMG I thought I was the only one who used the garage to keep things cool in the winter! Usually use it as the beer fridge, in fact, it stays cool enough to keep the beer in there for most of the year, as long as I have the cases on the floor. LOL

Looks as though the kitchen lover has found a good alternative ...

... and the prairie gal actually rose to the occasion, as and when needed!

Something about storing beer and food in the garage reminds me of camping. It's fun to me to be able to store refrigerated food in the garage!
It's rare that the garage is lower than 40 degrees.

Multi years ago, when our winters were colder, I used my screened in side porch as a refrigerator during holiday cooking.

Kept my coconut cake, fudge there.

Wasn't on the sunny side and had a concrete floor.

Missed it when then DH turned it into an enclosed room :o(

I remember relatives (Mom wasn't around) keeping Christmas goodies in a minimally heated spare/guest bedroom.
