Problem with Photobucket

On my PB site, I have marked it Private, but it isn't private. If I put an image on a site, and it is clicked on, you would go to my PB, and every thing I have there is clickable.

What am I missing?

Are you sure it's not private? Have you asked someone else to click the photo? Maybe PB is recognizing your computer and not keeping it private. Just a thought....

Ok...here goes

Log in
Click on your user name in the upper right corner and choose User Settings
Next click Albums
Scroll down and UNCHECK the box for Link back to albums

"SAVE"

Hope that works.

Thank you very much for your comments. Babka, I am also thinking about that option to go back to Firefox 3.6. I will do that when I can not solve my problem per Firefox Help. Steve and Babka, no, presently I do not want to get into Windows 7, Vista should work with FF4 per Paul. Today right after first going into Firefox I got into the formerly used version of Photobucket, but then Yahoo came and wanted to take over my world again. I needed to hit BACK 4 times to get out of that. So it seems I have to get rid of FF4 selecting Yahoo in this instant. When reading yesterday in the Firefox.com Help section under 'Yahoo problems', it seems I have to go into some 'Hyper code' (whatever that is) and delete 'Yahoo' there. There seems to be some standard Hyper code which selects automatically Yahoo. This seems to be the worst user unfriendly application I have ever seen, requiring me to become an operating system programmer. Paul, it might be that when you downloaded FF4, it set that 'Hyper code' correctly. But it is nice to know that you have it working, and I possibly will be able too. tj, thanks about mentioning this little icon "Web View". I saw some very small icons which were difficult to decipher. Anyway, I saw some more leafing-out hostas from SC at this nursery, but will leave it at that 'Sagae' I bought yesterday. So why should I think of some hypercode'? I get hyper thinking of that. Thanks for all the help. Bernd

I just added Firefox for the first time this past weekend; it's version 3.5.3 which I believe is the latest. At Adobe, I installed/reinstalled Flash Version 10.0.32.18. It is for Windows, Firefox, Safari and Opera. I also installed the Flash Player 10 PlugIn 10.0.32.18 which is for Firefox. I tested at the Adobe site and they report Flash 10.0.32.18 was successfully installed. I also checked C:\Windows/system32/Macromed/Flash and found Flash10c.ocx and NPSWF32.dll there. During the time that I was still trying to get IE7 to work, I followed some directons using Start, Run and then entering each of the following separately, followed by clicking OK. They were regsvr32 mshtml.dll regsvr32 shdocvw.dll regsvr32 browseui.dll regsvr32 msjava.dll Success was reported with the 1st three, but on the last the message was: LoadLibrary ("msjava.dll") failed. The specified module could not be found. I googled it and one site said it won't be found because MS's Java has been replaced by Sun's version. Another site listed programs it's known to affect - Macromedia Flash was on the list. Since I recognized the work Java, I reinstalled that program just in case it might solve the video problem - it didn't. Since this all began somewhere in the process of updating to IE7 (which I then uninstalled) I did reinstall IE7 hoping for a magic solution - it didn't happen. I do plant to continue with FF, however. Is there a program (or maybe it's a tool that's already on my computer) that would show what's happening behind the scenes when the video is "loading"? When I download a bunch of pictures in photobucket to post here, I always copy all the http lines in to a word document and save it as KT pictures. Then, daily I just copy and paste one line, and the heading I also save there to the daily picture post, and delete it out of the document before closing that back out. This way, I don't have to go to photobucket daily. :) Works for me. Moni

Socks, no, I haven't asked anyone else; didn't want to risk opening the whole site up to any and every one. And now I see what the problem is. Thanks, though.

Sue, I've been all over PB, and can't even find Log In. But in all that clicking up top, I finally saw some things to click on. One is a tiny key, which I had to use my magnifier to identify it with. It says No login data found for this page. I have also seen muted boxes that say This person has moved or deleted this page, or image.

Sounds like my profile has gone missing. I've tried to rescue it, but it isn't working. For one thing I don't think I'm using the right password. I must have changed the first one sometime, and have a newer one, but it doesn't work either.

I'm wondering if making the change from XP to WIN7, wiped it out. I'll have to spend some time with it I guess and hope to fix it before long.

Thanks, and I'm sure your instructions would have been right, but it looks like I was beating a dead horse, or rather a real sick one.

So, how are you doing these days? I haven't been watching your weather, bad enough to watch it here. Even my DS in SC says they have had snow and freezing temps.

Try going to log in from the link below.

Click on Login in in the upper right hand corner and it will drop down and give you several choices. You can do this!

So, how are you doing these days?
Doing good. Have been decluttering and doing some much needed serious belated fall/early spring house cleaning. Today I am painting the kitchen. Not sure I even like the color I chose, but at least it will be different. I don't think it has been painted since the house was built 25 years ago, and really the white paint wasn't in bad shape at all.

It has been a rough winter with so much snow and well below normal temps since early Dec. I'm well stocked and never leave the farm and go to town or anywhere if is is bad out at all.
