Azzalea, I believe that "reality shows" are not as real as the producers would lead us to believe. They make up things to make the show more interesting, to bring out emotions in the viewers.

Oh, I absolutely agree--but in this case, there were photoes of Truely, very bloated, in the hospital, with IV's, tubes, etc. When she came home, she was a skeleton--she'd lost so much weight--and staggering (I'm not sure you can teach a 2 year-old to fake that sort of thing). I don't believe that the seriousness of her illness was hyped that much. She was in kidney failure, on dialysis.

Aside from that, it certainly was presented in a very sympathetic, very somber way, of course. But she got sick while the mom's were in San F. They came home (drove), and it was still days before Truely was taken to the dr, let alone the hospital. I know, when my dd was 2, I took her to the dr. at any sign that she was sick. Guess not everyone does, though

she was taken to the DR., and sent home and told to give her child kind of asprin. Children that age can go down hill very very fast.

Yes, I think they did say she was taken to the Doctor and diagnosed with flu. The only thing I can fault the mother with was going off shopping for flowers when she had a very sick child at home. At least we didn't have to watch Meri cry for the whole hour. I am pretty tired of her.

I watched that show and don't see how she was at fault either. Her sister was watching Truly was used to taking care of her and I am sure she would have been on top of anything major...I am beginning to really dislike Cody so much...He just gets more and more egotistical as the show goes on...and now their is talk from the fortune teller that he will have another wife...Please!

There's been talk of him 'marrying' a 5th wife for about a year now.

I watched a minute of it last night, where they were quoted a price of $1,800 for a cake to be served at a 'celebration of good fortune' they were planning. The houses these women live in are amazing - HOW can they afford all this is my question!

I can't stand that show so I don't watch it.

I don't think they did anything wrong with Truely. They took her to the Dr and followed his instructions. She didn't have all the other problems till later when they told her to get her to the hospital. I don't think there will be a 5th wife, that would mean she would have no home and it would be like it was with the 4 separate families. Too much trouble to have another wife now that they have the 4 homes.

I have never watched the show, and doubt that I will. Seriously though, are these "sister wives" really married to the same man? I thought bigamy was a criminal offense, or maybe I'm just displaying my ignorance, here. If so, please just SOB!

Mwheel, he isn't married to the other three ladies - just Meri. He went through a comittment ceremony with the others. The government has tried to prosecute him several times, but somehow they haven't been successful.

Maybe they are thinking a 5th wife to boost ratings? Isn't this their major source of income. I've watched the show from the beginning, found it interesting then, but last season and this, nothing much going on. Kudos to Janelle for continuing on her weight loss journey. Meri gets on my nerves. Don't get me started on Cody lol
