Haven't been around lately...so thought I'd check on my "Partners in Crime" LOL Hope you are all well and surviving the crazy winter.
I'm ok. Gonna take down outside Christmas decorations and make a pot of soup today. Well later today lol gonna try and sleep a couple hours first.
Let me know what's new in your lives for I do love this crazy bunch. Think of you as family. Hugs

Hi Audrey. You and I are on the same wave length. I'm playing bridge this morning and then I'm coming home and taking down the decorations. I really don't like that job and have been putting it off. I can put it off no longer!

My tree is down and put away. But I left the outdoor lights up. Need to take them down. Luckily today is sunny and not terribly cold oe windy. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes.

Hey Teen! Glad to see you. Sorry about the mealy. What are you doing to rid them? Hey Rhizo. Long story. When you have time check the flip side for explanation. Surviving, barely. :) Saturday's temp was near 40..40 was a heatwave this January. It was 2F when I woke at 7:30am, 9.2 now. Yesterday it snowed..about 4" accumulation. However, it's sunny...still doesn't make up for the freezing temps. In the future, I will pay attention to Farmer's Almanac people. How have you been?

Happy Solstice to you too.... I'm going to try to sow at least one type seed today. That wonderful woman from Gardens North sent a backorder of moist packed helleborus seeds to me that just came - I'd forgotten I even had then on order (since last Spring) so perfect timing for something to sow. If I could just get this day to settle down, I've had more interruptions this morning than are usual for the whole week - including drop in company at 8:30 am, before I was dressed and DH was in the shower ;( Normally I love this day, longest night of the year is behind us.... Happy sowing everyone!

Hi Montana, Welcome to the Friendliest Little Gardening Forum in the West! We had a pretty nasty winter here along the Front Range this year—in a very strange way! It was TOO warm! Then when the temps suddenly dropped into the single digits a few times you could hear all the semi-dormant plants screaming! Even my normally-evergreen stuff wasn’t “evergreen” this year! And all along the Front Range people have had sections of evergreens (trees!) die off that are gonna take years to recover! The good news is that when stuff like that happens, at least you can come here for some HUGS to help a little—even if there’s nothing we can do to help with the actual plants! We may not have much helpful advice after a hail storm, but we’re all really good with sympathy—since we all Understand! We’re glad you found us! Skybird P.S. If you ever happen to be trippin’ down this way when we have a swap (spring and fall), we’d love to have you show up! We’ve had folks from all over, including the Western Slope and Kansas, but Montana would be a new Benchmark!

Well my plans went to hell for the day. Son was coming to help as I'm too old to do some of the climbing etc that was needed. He woke this am to a flooded livingroom. Guess a pipe broke..I dunno. I am gonna put a pot of Italian Tortellini Soup on though...and try not to eat it all! LOL May make a couple other dishes too. I like to cook several things at the same time and freeze em. That way I can go long periods without cooking at all. Will check in later gang!
