I'm in 4 different ladies bridge groups, two ladies lunch out groups, a movie group that also eats lunch out, a birthday group (there's six of us and we celebrate each of our birthdays plus going out for dinner at Christmas with our husbands, a couples wine and dine group, a couples wine and cheese group, two Mexican train groups, A theater group (we have season tickets to a local playhouse) two golf groups plus a golf playaway group (we go to different courses once a month), and our clubs once a week ladies golf association. I keep pretty busy!

georgysmom, your plethora of groups/activities sounds great. We have the same passions: golf, good food & drink, and game playing..... perfect. :)

No groups or clubs in my life, but I'm always busy!

I belong to Southern Bucks Garden Club, Bucks County Genealogical Society and the Bucks County Women's Chorus plus I am a Master Gardener and on our Township Shade Tree commission. I love to keep busy!!!

I'm in a photography club. We meet every 2nd Thursday for regular meetings and have several outings throughout the year.

I belong to a newly formed "social singles" club in my development. We formed about a year ago with 12 members and are now up to 53. We meet for planning on second Fridays, poker and pizza third Fridays and pot luck if there is a fourth Friday. There are all kinds of activities offered such as local plays, concerts ,dining out , bowling, etc etc. This season there is a superbowl party, wine and cheese gathering, and game night. You can do all, some or none as your interests allow. This has saved me from many lonely nights. Satine

Culinary club, library club, travel club, women's club, sewing club, knitting club, book club, bowling league, bunco and game night once a month for each.

I sleep and eat the rest of the time....when I can fit it in.

I forgot one, I'm membership gal for the garden club.

Before my husband died we were in the Cushman Club of America. The men collected and restore the old Cushmans, We went to state and national meets. My experience in that "club" and joining the volunteers in a local hospital let me know clubs were not for me.

None and I don't have time for one. I keep saying I am going to join the fiber arts guild in town, but I would only have time in the winter, and our winter roads are not always good.

I've belonged to several over the years but have decided to pick and choose what I do with my free time....Just in the last couple of months I handed in my resignation with a well knows organization...Our group was very small, having only about 15 members but raised lots and lots of money, supposedly to go for sending kids to camp, training dogs and very good things...But, too many times, it was voted to leave the money in the treasury (in case of an emergency), which made no sense...We would never, ever have an emergency...That and the bickering among a few girls, I just had enough.....Like I said, I pick and choose and most of the time, I choose to do fun things......

I belong to a book club, a running group and a gym.

The gym isn't for drop-ins but you have to actually sign up for specific classes and the largest class is 10 people. You actually get to know these people and one of the classes we get together every once in a while and we get dressed in our "real" clothes and go to the neighbourhood pub. The gym also hosts get togethers for their members once a term. This Friday they are hosting a Casino night.

On a regular basis however clubs aren't for me.

I'm amazed at the variety of groups and by how many some of you are participate in.

Georgysmom, I wish there were gaming groups like that in my area for my age range. We do get together with friends though. Sounds like you have lots of fun!

Pkponder, I also work 40 plus hours a week, which is probably why I am feeling like my schedule is really filling up!

We just joined a gem and mineral group that does a lot of outings that I am excited about. I am part of a monthly book club (and lunch) group. I meet with another social/chat group once a month. We also have season tickets for two play houses and a museum, and we get together almost monthly with friends for game night. Although those aren't really groups, they do have regular slots of time in our calendar.

I'm in a small (5-person) writing group, and a much larger group of poets & writers that's in a sort of hiatus right now. Other than playing Scrabble at the library with the same bunch every week, that's about it.

Oh, and I guess you could call me a groupie of sorts. Several of my friends are jazz musicians, and when their gigs aren't far away other friends and I tend to follow them around. ;-)
