Update on my Amazon video question......

I finally signed up for a 30 day free trial to Amazon Prime.
Still, when I look at the video selections, most have a cost associated with them.
ALL of the shows I wanted to watch had a cost per episode or season.
So I called Amazon. These videos do indeed cost extra even with Prime membership.
Only the videos that have the Prime logo listed are free to stream.

It's not worth it to me to pay the $99 yearly fee and then have to pay
for each episode or season of the shows I want to watch.
My membership is set to NOT renew after the trial period.

We have the $99 Amazon Prime membership and are watching all the amazing free (with prime) movies available. There are also a lot of free tv shows (singles or series).

The way we look at it, we were spending $120/month just for DirecTV, then renting an occasional movie or using DTV's pay-per-view. Even buying a couple of new series a month, or paying $2.99 to rent a movie, we come out WAY ahead, $$$$-wise.

Poohbear, we've been Prime members since it began. I agree with you - the free videos aren't really worthwhile. The main reason we have the Prime membership is to save on shipping. Whenever we need something, Amazon is the first place we go and we buy a lot of stuff - books, CDs, toiletries & supplements, pet supplies, office supplies & toner, needlework supplies, specialty food items, nightlights, limited edition Christmas ornaments, indoor plant nurseries, Caribbean Joe shirts - you name it. If we can get it on Amazon it's our go-to place to shop. I hate shopping in stores.

Shipping is super fast, and we pay for our membership several times over in free shipping.

The way easier way is to make a picture at nighttime with flash into a direction where there's no lights. I think that's what they did in this video, and with my cheap camera I recieved good quality this way too: Sydney, pretty good but not perfect with the shadow of the antheres. Amputo with an illuminated house number on the other side of the road (which I was too lazy to remove later on). I just stored pollen in a not-air-tight container on a shelf, but not for very long. But I read that people used pollen stored like this for several months, if I remember correctly it was half a year.

Mike, thanks for that information about AzaMax. I wonder if I've been living under a rock or something, but I have not heard of that. It sounds like I should investigate it. I have found the manufacturer's label, which appears to be very thorough. Has anyone else used this product, or perhaps another with azadirachtin as the main ingredient? Azadirachtin is a component of the neem tree seed, but many of t he processing methods remove it. Neem oil, alone, is effective against a wide variety of plant feeding pests, but when it has been cold pressed...leaving the azadirachtin in place, it is much more effective. So what's this stuff smell like? ;-) That would be my first complaint about my neem oil, lol.

I plant both in ground and in pots. I have about 10 pepper plants in the ground, and about 25 in pots. I like pots because the plants seem to grow faster. I believe the roots stay warmer early on and this aids in the growing process while the plants are still young.I also like pots because you can move your plants around. We had a lot of rain this spring. I was able to take my young seedlings and put them on our covered porch. This kept them from getting over watered. I use three different kinds of fertilizer. I use Miracle grow, Alaska fish fertilizer, and when I pot up, I put Osmocote in my pots. I also use dolomitic lime, blood meal, and bone meal in my pots. I hope that helps you out. Plants are doing amazing Tim. The three reapers will end up being more than you can handle alone (maybe?!). My 4 reapers are putting out so much right now that I truly have no idea what I'm going to do with them! I'm thinking of making a pure reaper sauce with about 70 or so pods for anyone who dares to try it! I've found that just one pod in a whole dish is still an intense amount of heat, literally leaves me sweating and questioning finishing the dish. -the flavor is great though, very fruity, but hard to differentiate from the burn at times! If you have a smart TV then Netflix is only 9 dollars a month for hundreds or thousands of movies and TV shows. If you don't have a smart TV then you can buy a Roku for about 60 dollars, and get the same deal from Netflix, which is what I have, and there's plenty to watch for free from Netflix. NO EXTRA CHARGE for special videos.

I had the same experience with a Netflix trial. There were lots of things available on DVD, but nothing I wanted to see was available for streaming video. I confess that I use Amazon Prime streaming to watch old television series like Fringe, Firefly, etc. Most of them I have on DVD, but it's so much easier to watch them by streaming through my Apple TV.

BTW, Amazon Prime shipping isn't really free. If you comparison shop, items are usually $2 - $3 higher on Amazon, but you can't beat the 2-day turnaround. I agree with others that it's my go-to source for items not easily found locally.

shelgal, apps for a variety of content sources are built-in to most Blu-ray/DVD players. People may already have the capability and not know it if it hasn't been used.

I have a smart TV. I also have a Roku box that I used with a previous TV.
We have Hulu plus. We have Netflix. We have Cable TV. We have a DVR.
Cable TV and the DVR takes care of most of our needs for TV shows.
Hulu plus takes care of a few shows that take up overlapping timespots.
We can only record 2 shows at once. If there is a third one we can usually
get it from Hulu plus. But not all networks are supported on Hulu plus.
Cable costs $51/month (TV+locals+DVR); then add Netflix and Hulu plus.
I'm not really trying to reduce costs. I just want access to all the TV shows
that we regularly watch. Some are not available on Hulu plus.
Some shows will show up on Hulu plus but if you try to watch them
you will be taken to the networks website to watch only on your computer.
I don't want to watch them on the computer, I want to watch them on TV.

I don't order online enough to justify Prime free shipping.
I no longer read ebooks. Haven't read an actual book in years.
I get all my music from Youtube. So I just can't justify having Prime.

Why in the world would you have all the streaming services PLUS cable? After reading your latest post, I'm stunned you'd even consider adding Amazon Prime...

I think it's common. I have cable, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu Plus and watch all of them. Not all of the shows I want to watch are on each streaming service. I'm watching Downton Abbey now on Amazon prime for free before I start season 5. I like having options and the streaming services are only a few dollars a month.

We have cable for the local channels plus a few others.
We have Netflix for movies and some older seasons of TV shows.
We have Hulu plus for current seasons of TV shows.
But Hulu plus doesn't carry all the shows we watch.
If we have a time slot with 3 shows in it, we have to watch one of them streaming.
Usually we use Hulu plus for this. But they don't carry all networks.

If Amazon Prime had worked like we hoped, we could drop Hulu plus,
and possible reduced our cable package to just local channels.
Here in the Sequatchie valley we can't get OTA channels from Chattanooga.
Some people further up the valley can get locals with an amplified antenna,
but we are too close to the foot of the mountain that is between here and Chattanooga. The mountain blocks the signal to our house.
