Feed stores...go to the yellow pages of the phone book, should be listed under "F" for feed stores I think? Look for stores that cater to chicken, birds, horses and dogs...usually they sell to agriculture or people that have a mini farm or stable. I'm not positive if there's a difference with the Kelp, but I've read great things about the Norwegian brand, so that's why I wanted to try it.

Mila - sounds like you have a plan, and I know what you mean about not wanting to wait to follow through on your plan. There's always room for more roses if you get creative! Glad the pictures helped you get tempted - they're all great climbers and you can't go wrong with any of the three you mentioned. Summers - for sure you'd have to finagle a way to attach the canes to the trees, and that's getting way too close to Quadra for my skin's sake. He's big and thorny, and between two trees he'd be just waiting to pounce. For sure you'd need another kind of support in addition to the trees, or he'd be flopping on your other roses as you mention. I used to grow my Quadra as a free-standing bush and he was at least 7' wide and aggressive with space. Can you stretch some sort of trellis or arch between the trees for extra support? He might not bloom as much in part shade beneath trees, but I'm all for giving it a try if that's where he is. I have Veilchenblau beneath a huge oak tree and it's pretty impressive (though it doesn't want to climb). Cynthia

I’m having surgery to remove a cataract and correct an astigmatism in one eye. Glasses will be Just for reading....bifocals with reader on the bottom and almost clear above. I had hoped to not need glasses for reading, but that won’t work in my case. Oh well, glasses will hide circles when needed! I could continue with my cheap readers, but might be nice to have a perfect lens for close-up. Sunglasses are a constant here in sunny Ca. ; I loved my old pair of bifocals for driving and reading menus outside dining, etc. Glasses will be nice at times when I‘d need to grab readers.....reading price tags shopping, for example, or text messages. Wow! That was way TMI! All I mostly wanted was your source for frames, so thank you all . Also, good to be assured It is usual and not rude to have the optometrist use another’s frames. Must be, as Annie does this. Oh, and like her, I had issues with Costco lens. Nice to know I can buy just the frames there. You have all been a big help...thank you!!
