Must have been a ball living with all that going on! Neighbor did ceramics for years, passed stuff on to DD. She did beautiful work!! I never did it, too costly & couldn't be breathing all that stuff. I'll keep an eye out for a purple & white tree. Sounds pretty cool to me. One year out here some tree lot was spraying real ones pink, turquoise & maybe another color. I think it was about time pink princess phones were in. Really enjoyed your story!! Thanks! Jan

luvs... LOL at the Enabler R Us...I wouldn't even have noticed that glass acorn dish (if not for you)! And, the t'cloth in this pic is "kitty-cornered"...whatever the terminology...each point pointed toward a chair...I do like it alot. I'm a "snowman" addict, too...many yrs now...these new TS plates still had K's Merchandise labels on back so I plan to use them for gifts. jaybird...thanks...I like the rustic of the sugar molds...I bought mine in a specialty store so it's probably not old...you may have an original...either way, they're kind of expensive...but I use it usually all yr round (somewhere). I bet you don't need a fireplace often! frou...those Woodfield plates come in other colors, too...will be on the lookout altho I did put a bid on ebay for 6 more plates (no cups) so they started the bid low...we shall see. Yup, the vase goes good with my Autumn Leaf dishes & I thought it would be a good Christmas color, too. dream...SG leaves from "Tenderhearts"...probably about 10 yrs. ago or so...don't see them in their catalog now...so far I've kept from breaking them! punk...that vase with the prairie grass is a "pinkish" color...but blends in with the salmon ...I bought it at an antique store so don't really know if it was old...loved the color & shape & the $$$ was right! LOL! Ahhh, we'll see how the clear glassware Fall decor works out & the darn ol' branches for the urn! Jane,,, still am having fun with it all! (but I know what you mean)! Thanks, Holiday-ers! punk...always appreciate any input! That's how I'm learning more & more...from you great holiday-ers on here! I'm thinking of a tall woodsy angel in the center...but have not found the right one yet or right price...think it would look good cause the buffet is decorated mainly that way...pinecones, berries, viney stars, etc. jane & purplemoon..yup, that vine tree is my fav, too...there was a crafter who made them in this area but they were very expensive... I think you could do one, Jane! Worked some more on the buffet today & it's looking good...but didn't take pics yet...my pine gardland keeps falling off the back of mirror ledge! Ugh! Will work at that tomorrow. I did change to a "timer" faux candle in the big apothecary jar...thanks for that idea. Still playing with the shorter one...kept snow in both. Jane, I thought I'd commented last night...apparently it was only in my mind, LOL. I think the way you used the little red bench is totally delightful! When I saw the photo, I thought it was really a little fireplace DH made for your display. (guess it is,now, LOL) He has a wonderful collection of old toys, and he's so darn creative with stuff he makes! Whatta Guy!! I really like the old truck with the trees in the back of it. And what a find in that $3 paper mache! I see lots of vintage Christmas paper mache stuff listed on eBay and its seldom inexpensive. Must be real collectible! The desk display is very pretty. Everything looks so good, and I have looked at it half a dozen times already. I really enjoy the stories or history of things, and never get enough of that. Those of you with traditions, or old family heirlooms, are so very lucky and I can't help but envy that. Christmas should be full of nostalgia and memories.
