Outdoor kitchens

What materials are appropriate for a small outdoor kitchen that'll be tucked under a covered porch?

- I've seen marble countertops/bars. Are those the same as indoor granites? They hold up okay?
- Can tile work outside, or does it become faded? I'm thinking it'd work fine since it can be used in swimming pools.

RE: Outdoor kitchens

I've had both tile and granite on my "Outside Kitchen", (actually a bbq with a 2 burner DCS cooktop).

The tile only lasted a few years, well it was really the grout that gave out and not the tile.

I replaced it with granite about 7 years ago and the granite
still looks brand new, and sure is a lot easier to clean than tile and grout.
