Installing Fisher Paykel CoolDrawer

Neither the "authorized" installers that I was paying a premium for or my cabinet guy could make much of the install guide for the Fisher & Paykel CoolDrawer. Does it really take up an entire 36" cabinet? I couldn't understand the guide either so called F&P. I was told by a very nice woman with a Kiwi accent that it was new so most installers didn't know what to do.

My authorized guys ended up putting it in the middle (vertically) of a cabinet requiring a 2" filler above and a fairly substantial panel below to hide the works. Looks like heck next to the F&P Dish Drawers they installed that require a 1" filler above.

I know this is an old post, but am considering this unit for my kitchen. Does anyone have recent experience with the F&P CoolDrawer? I spoke to one appliance salesperson who did not think it worked very well.
Any input is appreciated.

Post in the appliances panel. I have seen it installed in SF bay area. The flexibility is nice but the problem is that it can only be one thing - freezer, fridge or pantry at any time. Looks integrated though.
